Nate Oats would be a good option but I don’t think Bama is going to let one of their best coaches ever, go that easily.

Jay Wright would be a good option but again, he retired due to hating NIL.

There’s too many obstacles when it comes to poaching successful coaches from their comfort zone.

100% nailed it. We have some very ignorant people who have no clue of our history around here. They think it's a snap of the finger to go from the top 10% to the top 1%.

You were completely wrong and THAT is truly sad … Barnes failures in March echo throughout the season. What’s sad is you and the usual 15 or so posters on the bball forum constantly carrying water for the guy but simultaneously trying to lower expectations of the program progressing. ‘WhO eLsE wE gOnA gET?’ Do you want to continue to argue semantics of your phrase “limited” or do you even care to make a meaningful post?

We also dont know who they offered didnt offer, plus most places coaches are smart enough to know whoever goes there next is going to fail due to being compared to two legends. TN doesnt have that pressure.

IDK who would be better, interested or not, what I do know is TN has a lot of resources and seems to have an NIL collective that is together. It could be an assistant, it could be an NBA assistant, it could be pulling a sitting HC from somewhere. I just know with what TN can offer and an AD that coaches would want to work with, to claim we cant get someone better is silly.

Green was his own worst enemy. Telling fans to go shop at K-Mart and daring his bosses to fire him was asking for trouble, and didn't help his last season they totally fell of a cliff.

There are 363 D1 teams out of which maybe 10 or 15 can legitimately win a national title. So the other 350 shouldn’t have fans?

Sure he never lived up to Pearl, but that S16 run got him some love. Again, he left on his own we dont know what the answer wouldve been here.
I dont blame him for leaving either our AD was a complete mess at the time.

If I'm "having my cake and eating it too", so are you. You're hiding behind "we don't know who Duke/UNC offered." Doesn't matter who they offered, matters who they got. Nobody said UT wouldn't offfer coaches, but getting them to say yes is a much different stoy.

We're the same place Mike freakin White turned down.
