Rick Barnes discussion (merged)

Wait I didn't know Jay Wright was retired. Maybe not that absurd after all in a few years.

I wonder if Kim English will still look good then. I liked him on our sidelines.
Wright is not coming out of retirement for Tennessee. He’s being floated for NBA jobs. It’s as realistic as expecting us to nab Saban a few years after he retires.

And what’s happened to them? If they go on to a deep tournament run their fan base won’t GAS about what happened.

Some of us here care about the honor and integrity of our alma mater.
Wait. I’ve been told in several posts that without Barnes we’re nothing so obviously we’re not a big time program. No coach worth their salt will want to come here.

We've consistently earned high seeds the past few years. We're a big time program, and we operate with integrity.

No doubt, when Coach Barnes decides to retire- and it will be HIS decision, sorry Negavols- the program will be a much more attractive program for prospective coaches than it was after the Show Cause era of Pearl and Tyndall. and the stupid petition era at the end of Cuonzo’s tenure. CRB has restored integrity and class to the program while winning at a very high level.

He quit Villanova because he didn’t like recruiting in the NIL framework. He won’t coach college again

What big time program has integrity these days?

Danny White preached about integrity and doing things “the right way” when he was first introduced.

Whoever replaces Barnes, I’m sure won’t be a compete scumbag.
