Here is what Rick Clausen said to the media after the loss!!!!!


“We’re playing for everyone in the Tennessee family. If fans bail on us, then they are not true Tennessee football fans.”


He needs to play football and keep his $%^ mouth shut!!!!!!!

He just needs to understand that fans can be disappointed and mad without "bailing out".

That is true. Why the hell woud he say something like that. That is disappointing. Of all the people thinking of "bailing", he should shut his mouth. Wasn't he considering "bailing" after not being named starter. What about Ainge, didn't he consider "bailing".

I agree with his statements 100%.

He didn't say fans are bailing out. He said if any are, then they are not true fans.

Give the guy a break.

We all had our hopes set too high. Until the preseason polls and the season preview magazines came out I figures this would be an 8-4, 9-3 type year. I think the fact that the starters stayed in and got that TD in "junk time" was probably their way of trying to show us they are not giving up. We have alot of games left and alot of things can happen.

yep...and consider this. They players probably feel worse than we not knowing what the problem is and how to fix it. Theyre human and get frustrated as we do, say things they don't really mean.

He's the one that cried and almost quit because he's selfish....He needs to grow an arm and some balls and hit an open reciever downfield....I really don't like this guy even though I constantly get ripped for it....

the best thing to say is nothing. Pretend you dont hear it and dont respond to it if you do. Be above that and go out and do your best.

Another stupid comment. Someone needs to get a hold of this kid and tell him to shut up. If he doesn't want to get critiqued by fans then he should have went to Vandy!

clausen is an idiot and a crybaby. i wish he would have done us all a favor and went home like he was going to do after the uab game. he is a below average qb at best. he goes right along with our sorry offensive coordinator and our below average coach. he just better thank his lucky stars his younger brother is a talent or he would be sitting the bench no matter where he would go to school. there is a reason why lsu let him go. he can't throw the ball.

Apparently, all he can do is what he's coached to do. Which is pretty much nothing at all.

i stand behind him a hundred percent im sick of these fans thinkin there the greatest fans in the world but when 1 thing goes wrong its time to talk about exactly whats wrong and how they know everything! if they did they would be a coach! I will be behind the vols come hell or high water and everyone else should as well instead of trying to come up with solutions when they dont know what the hell they're talking about themselves!

rick clausen might be the worst starting qb in tennessee history. he needs to keep his mouth shut go sit on the bench and show some class because he sure as hell has no talent. the only thing he should be saying is i'm happy to be here.

he sure couldn't do any worse, i haven't seen him practice, but it is hard for me to believe he has a worse arm.

You are no UT fan...you stick with your team through thick and thin....Everyone has hard times no matter who it is....For you to say some of the ignorant stuff you do, you can't be a true Vol fan

how many games have you been to this year ainge, the only one i missed was the ole miss game i watched it from home. they need to shake things up and if they put cooter in there he could not do any worse. what he might loose or look bad. we are already doing that and looking like that. who's the ut fan I'AM i'm not the one picking fights on the internet when people have differences in opinion you sure your not from alabama.

What does what he said have anything to do with not being a UT fan? Why is it an ignorant statement? Do you think Jim Bob Cooter sucks? Have you seen him play? Did we recruit him because of his name, or do you think kids are backup QB's at UT because they suck at football?
