Look guys, we are acting like a bunch of Bammers around here.

Exactly, that's what losing does to you.

I'm telling you right now smokedog, We all know that Rick isn't the best QB in the world. However, you throw in Cooter and our offense will be even worse. I hope you are kidding about playing him, if not.....I don't know what to tell you. :hi:

Fair enough, let's just not stoop to name calling. We are all frustrated right now.

Come on guys.....Rick was Mr. America when we won at LSU, now he's nothing?? Give the kid a break. He can't play every position on the team.

Face it, neither QB is a world beater right now and it wouldn't matter if they were since our WR's can't catch.

right now i would take jim bob cooter.

How many times do I need to say this. Jim Bob should be refered to as "The Cooter".

Here it is in a sentence.

Rick isn't doing so well, let's put in "The Cooter".

Now doesn't that sound better, Jim Bob seems to redneckish. :D

thanks jason for the support. orangewhite blood everytime fullmer talks about cooter he praises him he says he is a good kid with a great arm and a excellent work ethic. if that is the case give him acouple possesions to see if he can light a spark for us. so far nobody else has what is it going to hurt we are loosing right now anyway. has anybody ever seen this kid play.

We haven't had a QB debacle like this in more than 15 years. Rick isn't as good as Casey, Tee, Peyton, Heath or Andy Kelly. He might be as good as Jeff Francis, I don't know. Erik Ainge has a chance to be our next good QB. But I have no idea who our next great QB will be. Crompton? Ainge? Some kid getting his driving permit? It doesn't help when our WR's can't catch a buzz at a Pink Floyd concert, either.

He won the High School Heisman at Lincoln County HS for academic and athletic success.

He's been an All-SEC Academic member since he got to UT.

He was a captain of his HS football, basketball, and baseball teams.

2-time Honorable Mention All-State at QB and OLB.

...and in practice, his motor never stops running.

I wish he would play. I would love to hear the play by play.

Cooter takes the snap, rolls out, Cooter on the run, can't find a reciever. Cooter sees an open man, Cooter throws the long ball to Fayton. Complete for a 50 yard pickup. Man, did you see the arm strength on Cooter, That's right Al, what an arm on Cooter.

That would be awesome.

"If fans bail on us, then they are not true Tennessee football fans.”

Sorry, patrick, he's right.

And while we're on the subject, Rick is the one (and one of a precious few, I might add) who got the job done on the occasion when it GOT DONE. Remember that.

He has a right to be upset. While I hope RS gets pinkslipped yesterday, I've been saying it for 5 years. I'm mad as hell at people who are fans only when we're winning and who, after a loss like this past weekend, are out for anybody's blood as long as somebody pays and they're not the ones being presented with the bill.

I'm sure that Rick was probably mouthing off like the rest of us. However, this team isn't the first one that's been booed in Neyland, and it won't be the last. NO, I didn't, nor will I ever, boo the Vols, but I can sure understand the desire to do so. The way I see it, if someone (or some action) deserves to be objected to, then so be it. Of course, we could bring the Bronx cheer south for a little while if we get tired of booing.

For those who think that an 8-4 or 9-3 season is to be expected, acceptable, or even reasonable, I just don't buy it. If the vols go 9-3 and lose to Florida, Georgia, and Alabama... what have they won??? If we lose all three of our biggest games, what does the rest of the season matter???

The scary thing is, we haven't even talked about Notre Dame, South Spurrilina, or... dare I say it... VANDY, yet.

It could get very, very ugly in K-town.

The more he runs his mouth the more he reminds me of CC. Neither one of these kids will ever be as good as they think they are.

Volnation was here long before they showed up, it will outlive the Clausens. In fact they both have the distinction of leaving the program in much worse shape than they found it.

He should shut up and be happy to be wearing orange, instead of playing at Carson Newman where his sorry butt belongs.

I find it funny that somone who was willing to bail on this program like a spolied child because he couldn't be the starter, calls out the fans. He bailed from LSU because they wouldn't let him play, and then he wanted to bail from UT because he didn't get his way. For that he has no right to run his mouth about the fans. If Riggs or Allen or Simon (well maybe not Simon anymore) had made those remarks, then I could respect it a little more.

Speaking of Simon, I wish he would've caught that football that hit him in the stomach.

Clausen is correct!

For a little info before it slips by everyone.
When Clausen was named starter after the LSU game Ainge threatened to go home but daddy talked him out of it.

This thread was supposed to be about Clausen's comments to the media. It was his second slam against UT fans. Clausen needs to keep his mouth shut. He is the one who almost left UT when they went with Ainge. You can say that Ainge thought about leaving but the difference is Ainge has not run his mouth against the fans. I have not even discussed Clausen's lack luster performances. He shot his mouth off last week and this week. Any heat he gets is in large part due to his own %^%& mouth.

I have no idea how a true UT fan can criticize his comment. I don't have any warm regard for bandwagon fans either. That is what his comment came down to. He was saying that UT doesn't need bandwagon fans. Fans who are not fans of UT, but rather are just fans of winning. I agree 100% with his comment and don't see how anybody is thinking otherwise.

Lackluster performance? He threw for 300 yards and completed 60% of his passes in the GA game! Go back and look at last years stats. Tell me when you find a game when Ainge did that last season!

We lose games and you want to "blame" somebody. You do not know who to blame so you just pick people who seem likely candidates. This loss is not on Clausen, at all. He perfomed well enough for us to win that game. You are adament about placing blame...put the blame on the OL and Special Teams.

You can state your opinion without calling people names. Thanks :ninja:
