Rick Neuheisel broke down last minute

Well, I'm not a Saban lover, a respecter, sure, but never a lover. That said, gloat all you want, we got lucky twice. L1: Hooker's pinpoint accuracy, which made those 15 seconds count. L2: McGrath's kick had just enough ump to shrug off the partial block and crawl across the goal post bar.

Volfanhill seems to be the only one who understands the role of luck in our win. Saban, more than likely, never imagined that we'd pull it off with 15 seconds remaining. I doubt even we Vols faithful did either. But Saban's biggest mistake was he ignored or disrespected Hooker's accuracy, long strike ability, along with the Vols quick strike capacity. Indeed, Kirby Smart, last year stated he kept his all-star defense players in the game for this reason. If I recall right, he said the Vols put up points too quickly if you relax on them. The message was there from Kirby, and it was there for Saban all game. Yet ole Sab's brain exuded a soggy fart.
