Interesting that the 3 top teams that relied most heavily on the portal (Tennessee, Texas and Louisville) are all having crappy starts to the season.

Amazing how some Vandy lovers canonize a random comment on a message board as being representative of a larger community or worse seem to suggest that the selected rando comment somehow reflects the ethos of the team. Appreciating context is hard....

WOW! That is some impressive work right there.

I think Marta can add something to the team. She hustles, rebounds, wants to pass I think, good size, not scared of anyone. Working to move her feet better on defense. Gives us a 3-point threat. Needs to calm down on these crazy driving to the rim like a wild bull business. I think Marta can be a mini-version of Larry Bird for the Lady Vols. Her teammates need to keep their eyes on her when she has ball, or she can make bounce the no-look pass off your head. Finally healthy and much improved!

I have no business in this thread, treading lightly….very lightly, but just a thought…..could it be something as simple as academics in nature? like needing to complete some school work, missing some classes or get a grade up? That seems pretty reasonable tbh based upon circumstances. Can’t be anything sideways, she was on the bench with the team correct?

What makes u think she’s not playing team ball, I see her passing the ball to open people in the paint instead of forcing shots. I do see Powell not passing to finishers in the paint and forcing shots she can’t make.

She can do that but the team is very flawed roster wise. Not much u can do unless Rickea and Jordan goes off every night.

I agree about the need to tread lightly. More often than not, though, these suspensions are linked to academic matters. But the official statement that RJ's suspension is "indefinite" has really fueled the worst case scenario speculation.

Do not know just something i saw from bulldog fan. she is not forceing shots correct.

It also points toward academics, imho, in which case Kellie would be compelled to not release information.

I thought of that, too. If it’s a grade that needs to come up, wonder how long that would take. Course I also considered heavy partying on a Saturday night. Whoever knows isn’t saying, hope Rickea plays SOON.
