I have many good friends in the LV player's family network and intend on keeping them.

The thing that gets me is,,,if everybody thinks my insignificant posts can run off a recruit, then by proxy, I should get credit for the commits....Think on that

Good lord man, I try not to interact with you because it is a lost cause but apologizing for a tweet you had no business sending is minimal damage control. You are crossing lines that should not be crossed. You believe that recruits see your communications and think "oh lucky me the legendary alpha male coach jumper has taken the time to put me on the path to greatness and he is here to correct all the bad habits I have acquired from my inferior coaches and derelict parents. I shall heed every word from my savior and Svengali! Recruits more likely see your communication and think "why is the creepy old dude stalking me?" You are a disincentive for recruits. So just stop unless Kellie hires you to be a recruiting assistant.

I was about to give you a like until I read your last sentence. I shuddered at the thought and it took me a few minutes to clear my head. Ok, back to reality. Where is that like button ?

No, no, no, no, NO. Just being a coach, at any level, does not give you a pass to interact directly with athletes you don't personally know. Unless you have a relationship with a player and her family and have express permission from all of them to interact like you did, then you are way, Way, WAY wrong to do it.

I deleted the post as soon as I could and Kim Ogg posted it for everyone to see
and yes, I would give Madi the very same advice,,,find a school that you want, that wants you and go be happy.

But understand something people, recruits and transfers are an entirely different thing.

I just can’t imagine why any adult would think reaching out directly to a recruit or potential transfer would be appropriate.
If I were a member of the LV staff I would be beyond furious. Talk about clean up duty.
Can’t begin to wrap my head around this. Just so deflating.

You have not said that you agree your behavior was inappropriate. You have only admitted to doing it and are acknowledging people's concerns.

VA _VOLFAN, thank you for your posts on this. CJ did something entirely inappropriate and has been derided and castigated,deservedly so. He was out of line on this and has been told so. There is something that perplexes me about all the hysteria that followed his post. We have other posters on this forum who constantly denigrate and degrade all things Lady Vol, from the administation,to the coaches,to the players and to our recruits and they are not met with the same level of angst. And some of those things posted have been posted ad infinitum. The same level of vitriol has not been showered on those posters. They deserve the same level of treatment rather than”don’t feed the troll”.

I tried to delete it with my phone and couldn't and got back to my puter and did so as soon as I could. The verbiage was a little too direct and the venue too public. For that I do apologize, and did!

I do not however apologize for talking/texting/emailing whomever I want to. I have players, friends, parents, brothers, ex-coaches,,,etc,,,present and dating back to 2015 who I still communicate with to this date. I am sure I will hear backlash from some of them too. In fact, already have.

Been a rough day
