You honestly think Amb is not a Tennessee fan? This is laughable. His posts always seem extremely fair and accurate for the most part. Geez, some of our “fans” are delusional in calling so many posters out. Really making me consider no longer reading this board.
I did….in a roundabout way.I wish someone would comment on Rickea's photo and let her know that Jumper is not affiliated with the university at all and never will be, but then it would shine the light even brighter on negativity... Sounds like someone who thinks he's someone in the college circuit because he coaches high school girls lol smh . If UT needed his 2 cents they would have offered him a job and that's obviously never going to happen especially after this cry wolf performance.
Amb is definitely a fan, lmfao. I've been talking with him on various boards since like 2006. He has bad taste in women's tennis players but he's definitely a LV fan.
Chile the board will go on
I just can’t imagine why any adult would think reaching out directly to a recruit or potential transfer would be appropriate.
If I were a member of the LV staff I would be beyond furious. Talk about clean up duty.
Can’t begin to wrap my head around this. Just so deflating.
So here is a parallel I see. You have been working months to get a big deal done. The client is on his/her way to your office. This could be the meeting that seals the deal. Every thing needs to go right. Best conference room is cleaned and ready. You have clients favorite water/soda in the fridge, best suit on, sent limo service to airport to pick him/her up. Limo drops him streetside and just as their are walking up the steps a pigeon sh…s on their shoulder. CJs post was the pooping pigeon. Now, it may not kill the deal but IT DOES NOT HELP!!I'm going to sorta defend CJ here. Not that I think what he did was a good idea, but I don't see how it is bad for UT recruiting. Does the young lady who received the tweet even know who CJ is? How and why would she know who he is? He isn't a nationally know coach. Why would she associate him with the LV program? I don't associate him with the LV program. He's just a man who claims to be a basketball coach who works in Tennessee and is a fan of UT. There's probably a million wannabe coaches out there that send her messages. She's prolly wondering "whoTF is this?"
The attention his tweet is getting here is a reaction as if he is either on the UTLV staff or is heavily associated with it. A little research on her part will show he is neither, that he (crudely) speaks for himself, not UT or it's fan base. He's just a private citizen giving his opinion. She prolly thinks he's a grumpy old man, not unlike many others who tweet criticisms at her. I can only imagine the negative stuff she and every other recruit gets on SM. For her, this is probably akin to just another drop in the ocean.
If I felt the way CJ does about her 'grandstanding', then I would never have texted her directly to express that. That is inappropriate, in my view. It's a poor decision on his part, but the notion that it would hurt UT recruiting is a bit far fetched, don't ya think?
Exactly. The real coaches need more headaches from wannabes? So here is a parallel I see. You have been working months to get a big deal done. The client is on his/her way to your office. Obviously a little humor there but recruiting is highly competitive and you don’t need random birds messing up all your work!
If it was only another old grump with an itchy twitter finger, I'd agree. I'm sure RJ has and will see many of these and probably dismisses them for the garbage heap they are.I'm going to sorta defend CJ here. Then for the love of God just STFU!nothing I can say will give me the clean slate
Man, for the millionth time, you have no "role" except the one you dream up. Please, please STOP or find another program to fantasize and victimize.I will try to handle my "role" more professionally moving forward.
Here's the worst part. Far from the first time you've been asked by org and families to cease and desist unwanted, improper contact.I screwed up royal and have felt the wrath of not only this site, the org has scolded me and so has the family connections I have...

Leave it to you to embellish...I never said that...But then again, you are glv and I am hated by you and expect your puny attack.....so cute
Your “unofficial” connection to the program is in your own mind. I sent your despicable Tweet to the LVs. You are definitely not viewed in a good light by UT!thank you Al. No one knows the extent of my reach per person I converse with. As stated I have been unofficially connected to this program for many years, so yes I am considered a good source. Not only to this base, but to other team entities too. My purpose is not to recruit it is to be a source of information and an outside contact for the people I connect with. For instance, there are recruits who follow me bc I retweet the pertinent tweets from several TN sources and they can stay updated on everything TN with one site... One family I told where to get the best bbq (Sweet P's on Maryville Pike),,,another family member wanted to know the best path into Dollywood... I communicate with them about many things. I know everyone here thinks of me as invasive and interfering, but I play a valuable role in the process for some of these folks,. If need be I can get in touch with more than half of the team or they can get in touch with me. I know this makes people nervous but it has been my role and I have navigated it well up till now.
I can do what I do bc I have avoided any potential of a booster role. So I do not fall under those restrictions. I shouldn't have used a "public path" for Rickea and I apologized for embarrassing myself, the org, and possibly herself. I screwed up royal and have felt the wrath of not only this site, the org has scolded me and so has the family connections I have...SO I have been getting it from everywhere (and as well I should)...Re Rickea, if she did read my DM's she knows that I would love to see her in a TN uniform, just like most of us here. I established that early.
People,
nothing I can say will give me the clean slate,,,I know this. But nothing has changed for me. I am still 100 behind TN, Coach K and the athletes both here and being recruited. I will try to handle my "role" more professionally moving forward...But quitting what I do is not in the plan....There is still a road ahead of us to follow and I'm still in the car (right now anyway)
