are you generally unhappy with someone who is in your pocket? i think you are confusing rhetoric with reality.

As usual, you are the one who is confused. As you get older, you'll be able to understand these type of things a little better. The various environmental groups have, as a whole, not beeen too happy with Obama to this point. The fact they have them in their pocket and aren't getting the results they desire from him is why they are unhappy.

most oil companies don't actually own their stations so the person you are hurting is the guy who owns the rights to the bp station, not bp themselves.

I think they get a 5% sales royalty fee and that's it.

Most of these individual stores don't even buy most of their petroleum from their upstream franchise.

As usual you claim you are right, act superior and basically tell someone else they are stupid. Your act is played out.

Likewise, you, as usual, have stuck your nose into a coversation for which you have no clue, making assumptions based on your extremely limited knowledge of the subject at hand. You should probably put me on ignore unless you enjoy looking ignorant

Where did I make an assumption on the subject at hand?

What would you have had him do, exactly?

it's the dems turn the face the music, especially after all the bs bush took for Katina.

What he needs to do is shut up. He doesn't know how to stop the leak, and apparently, neither does the rest of the Fed.

If they're going to make BP go it alone, then they need to shut up and let them work. They're already out billions on this leak, I don't see how it helps things to have the Federal Government sue. Oh, I do know: they want in on some Oil money.

I would seriously like some of the Obama-bashers who think there is anything to this criticism of Obama for his reaction to this to explain, with specificity, what he could be doing about this different from what he is doing and how it would make an ounce of a difference.

How about fast-tracking the LA governors request to build protective berms instead of making him wait for weeks to get the permits/permissions/etc; or better yet how about sending folks himself to build the when this stuff first happened.

Don't be practical. Best thing to do was publicly announce, via press conference, that Holder will be investigating for criminal prosecution. That's leadership in the eye of the storm.

Analysis Paralysis is the type of "take charge" leadership I seek in a President.

This is starting to reach to super disaster levels. The diamond saw broke and failed to smooth cut the top of the structure down there to allow for connection, so we now have most likely a 20 % increase in flow and are not catching any of it (although that could change).

Also, there are reports of "anomalies" in the water, which are very very likely plumes of submerged dispersed oil in the water column, that are moving towards Florida. It's looking like the scale of the oil spill and use of dispersants was a bad idea.

Florida and Alabama barrier islands are beginning to have oil wash up on them, and Pensacola is sweating like a whore in church.
