You need to understand, although Dobbs looks like a great QB in spurts...he is only here for 3 years and then off to grad school. If you want to put him in and loose him after year 3 is not a good plan for the future of UT.

Not sure if serious...

It's difficult to keep any player that's NFL ready for 2 years much less 3.:good!:

Ferguson has the best arm and will likely start by mid season if Worley can't hang on to the job.

ok Mr. Ferguson, you jump into every thread about your son. We get it, you think he's the best thing since Peyton Fn Manning.

Why would any fan of Tennessee want the starting QB to sit halfway through the season? So Fergy can start against Alabama???

Do you like not having any football to watch after November???

What should fans expect out of him? All anyone hears is that he will be the starter by X game because Worley will not make the entire season. Is it just hearsay and film from high school that everyone ( everyone meaning volnation) is basing his worth as a starter?

I'd expect him, whenever that happens, to come into the game knowing the playbook. So that he at least could make attempts to execute the game plan.

And this point, that is all any intelligent fan can expect of him, and to be frank, any of our QBs.

I will be surprised if Worley can hold on to the job all year, so at some point Ferguson will play. That doesn't mean he will be any better than Worley, but they need to get him ready for next year.

No clue about Riley other than he supposedly looked great in practice and not so great in the O&W game. There, game changing insight backed with hard data for ya.

I still hope we recruit over all of them next year. Oh, and heaven help the kid if 60K adoring fans was what had him rattled.

He's here at LEAST 4 years and I'd put my money on him also staying/playing his 4th year even if he is NFL potential.

All the QB's will look better this year with a full year in the system and the receiving corps we have now. The QB's were all limited by our receivers last year. North was our best receiver and he was an unpolished true Freshman. Most of the time our receivers couldn't get open or they dropped the ball when they were. This year will be much different.

Ding ding ding...we have a winner. :eek:k:

It's always the QB that has never played that is the better player. Last season the Worley haters were all like Dobbs is so much better, CBJ needs to start him. Then when Dobbs struggled, many were like Ferguson is so much better. If it were Ferguson who struggled last season instead of Dobbs, then people would have said Dobbs was better.

Dobbs and Worley looked much better than Ferguson in the spring game. I have seen people on here already dooming our season if Worley starts this season. So before seeing if Worley has improved, his haters have already doomed him. Yet for some reason Ferguson is somehow magically better even though he has yet to play a single game. It baffles me. What makes anyone think RF is better than anyone else we got?

The way I see it is Worley is a proven QB. Before his season was ended, he showed good progress. Maybe the receivers were getting better, running better routes, holding on to the ball, etc., but he showed improvement. I think we have 3 very capable backups for the position. Nice problem to have IMO. All 3 will be better than last year with a year in the system under their belt. Add to that we should have a better run game, more and better wrs and things look bright to me. JMHO

Lol dude, Dobbs is #2. And unless Worley gets injured, he'll be the starter for all of 2014. Therefore, Ferg is #3 and transfer bound. If Gibson comes next year, Ferg will have to be prepared to beat out Dobbs for the #1 spot for 2015, and that's not a situation he'll be prepared for seeing how Dobbs will be much more experienced by 2015. Unless the coaches are smoke screening us, I think Ferg is TTU bound.

Ferguson is the guy by the end of the Oklahoma game...by the end of the season he's entrenched and Gibson runs to the loving arms of Urban...Jennings redshirts next season ideally...Dobbs is happy academically and provides quality depth...2016 recruits will see what Riley does with our WR smorgasbord and clamor to sign up...how do I know this? I DON'T...but I have as much "knowledge" as any of the rest of you "insiders" and this is the way I prefer it to shake down...so I typed it!!! :yess:

Riley will probably declare for the draft 2016 even if he doesn't make it in any games... With the steam he has off VolNation, he will probably by a solid 6th or 7th round selection!!!!!!!!1
