Riley will probably declare for the draft 2016 even if he doesn't make it in any games... With the steam he has off VolNation, he will probably by a solid 6th or 7th round selection!!!!!!!!1

Worley's lucky too...he sucked to high heaven last year...but we fixed it.

Ferguson is the guy by the end of the Oklahoma game...by the end of the season he's entrenched and Gibson runs to the loving arms of Urban...Jennings redshirts next season ideally...Dobbs is happy academically and provides quality depth...2016 recruits will see what Riley does with our WR smorgasbord and clamor to sign up...how do I know this? I DON'T...but I have as much "knowledge" as any of the rest of you "insiders" and this is the way I prefer it to shake down...so I typed it!!! :yess:

If.......Riley knows how to run compared to Dobbs??? My money is on Dobbs...decent arm, instinctual, and has legs. Dobbs was a freshman last year bouncing the football off Smiths chest, and was in deep. Bet he surprises folks, if he starts again. Like yourself......hell, I don't know....but we all have a "gut feeling".

Then we're ALL RIGHT until we're not. :good!:

What should fans expect out of him? All anyone hears is that he will be the starter by X game because Worley will not make the entire season. Is it just hearsay and film from high school that everyone ( everyone meaning volnation) is basing his worth as a starter?

Why don't you people quite trying to predict who the starting QB is and just support whoever the starting QB is and that includes Worley. If he proves to be the best support him!!

Why don't you eat your Golden Flake tater chips and Krystal burgers and let Coach Majors do his thing?

Thank goodness the QB decision is not up to us here on VN to decide.....we would have a thief baseball player starting QB.

I've watched all four current QB's last year in pregame warms ups. There was absolutely no question about who the pure passer was among them. Whether the better passer is the better QB for 2014 remains unannounced (if not undetermined) at the close of Spring. Looking forward to August!

Nobody's got a clue. There's more talent at qb and a modicum of experience within this bunch, and there's a whole lot more confidence on this team than has been around for quite some time, all this competition's making everyone work harder and, if you didn't catch this the first time around.............nobody's got a clue who's going to be the "main man" next year. Nobody.

All the QB's will look better this year with a full year in the system and the receiving corps we have now. The QB's were all limited by our receivers last year. North was our best receiver and he was an unpolished true Freshman. Most of the time our receivers couldn't get open or they dropped the ball when they were. This year will be much different.

I agree except for one omission. They'll all be playing behind an OL that has no starting experience (exc. MJ a little) vs an OL with two 1-3 rd level tackles and 3 others working to make NFL rosters. That is a grand canyon sized difference.

Worley might not be the fastest or shiftiest (which will be tested early and often imo), but I expect him to make quicker / better decisions than the others. That will make him the preferred QB IMO.

Would love to see Fergy become 2nd coming of Peyton/Johnny Football, but I don't expect it. If so, we should be seeing / hearing about him a lot more from coaches. Even if it's Worley this year, Fergy & Dobbs are the heirs for 15' IMO. Although, if the staff can hold one of the elite QBs, who knows.

Yes, yes we do have a clue. Worley will be the starter out of the gate but you'll see both Worley and Dobbs on the field this season.

PROVEN is a pretty loose word bud. You obviously don't understand our pedigree around here for picking the best QB. Who cares what a coach decides.

We have several in-depth tools to determine whose PROVEN the best ...
#1 HS Folklore & Highlight Vids
#2 Star Rankings
#3 Practice Rumors
#4 Newsprint, Radio, & Web Journalism
#5 VN Forum Updates
#6 The OW Game & One Open Practice from 250'
#7 Last Weeks Game from a TV Screen (HD)
#8 Strong Opinion Laced w/ Wild Emotion

Pretty bulletproof equipment to prove whose the best I would say.

"Best Arm" fumbles the football.

Kinda like Dobbs big TD run after a fumble in the O&W game against a weak second team defense. And the second string QB is always popular if you don't have an All SEC guy starting.

You know basically what you have in Worley, decent at protecting the ball, kinda slow, and an average arm at best; Dobbs is a smart kid who is athletic but he can't beat out Worley; Fergie does have a big arm and took first team snaps in the O&W game but was only so so against the first team defense; and Peterman - well, he blew his only chance at Florida last year.

After Worley, we just haven't seen enough from anyone to displace a very average senior - good kid but barely average. I think the coaches are hoping Fergie learns to take better care of the ball because of his stronger arm but he is struggling right now.

So Worley will be the quickest to throw the ball into the ground?

So Worley will be the quickest to throw the ball into the ground?

Sure.... just like he did when he beat the team that finished #6 in the country.

Worley's improvement over the course of last season was DRAMATIC, we would still be discussing the results of last year's bowl game if he hadn't gotten injured.
