RIP Twitter

The most "scandalous" post from the tweet thread last night was that the Biden campaign asked Twitter to remove certain random posts and Twitter complied. But those posts were private stolen pics from Hunter's laptop (revenge porn - which ALL social media outfits remove upon request). The Biden team never tried to suppress the NY Post story. The only government actor that tried to get a tweet removed was the Trump administration. And both sides made requests, not demands backed by threats. This is very much a nothingburger.

When you don’t pay your bill you forfeit the device and it’s contents so nothing was stolen.

On what planet does scandal = no issue? Lol

In terms of 1A, What's the difference between Joe Biden coming to your house and holding a gun to your head to delete a tweet and the FBI "asking very politely" (while holding an implied trump card of violence and imprisonment) for Twitter to delete your tweet?

With government, the threat of imprisonment and violence is implied. Joe Biden doesn't have to physically show up to your house with a gun and handcuffs and force you to delete a tweet in order for it to be be a first ammendment issue. And you're just whistlin' past the graveyard if you think that this is just a few dick pics that were taken down.

Yeah, like when Trump would publicly make veiled threat against the media like, "someone should look into them." and literally none of you guys cared.

Hold the other party to this standard, too.

Bro, the new terms of service are so vague, they could ban you over anything.
The old TOS were vague too and often ignored. See the hunter Biden story. They even display doubt that it even goes against their already vague language.

It'd like to see the tweets being referenced.

Pardon the pun, but I've never seen someone try to extract as much juice from some c*ck shots as Clay. Something is going on with that boy. Starting to think he's got a fetish for Hunter's Christmas package.

You flat out said this is not a 1A issue. How?

I would say it doesn't even have to be a threat of violence or imprisonment. It could just be alphabet agency trouble....

It might be 1a if they did indeed make any sort of threat. I just don't know what was said and you can't call it 1a until we know how it went down. If Trump said "don't print that." to a reporter, would that be a threat? I would say definitely not.

What about when Trump told the NFL that they should suppress speech? Was that a violation of 1a or nah?

These Twitter revelations make Watergate look like a water leak. This is a very serious matter and dangerous bureaucracy at work.

Elon is doing a great service to this country. This is the work real journalists used to do.

So once he took office, all the suppression of "dick pics" ended immediately?
Were there any posts in the thread last night from the Biden administration? Don't think there were. There were some from the Trump administration though. So if wanna advance that beef -- which I still don't think is a great argument because the government can make requests just as much as a private actor -- you're barking up the wrong side of the tree.

When the FBI tells you specifically to censor something through private emails, that should be viewed in a different light than Trump flippantly saying "don't print that" in an off the cuff presser. He still shouldn't say that (unless in jest). But it seems a bit more nefarious when it is being done by an alphabet agency behind the scenes.

So tell me, in your own big boy words, without resorting to vacuous hyperbolic phrases like "very serious matter," what was the big reveal. You can do it love.

God, how many times does this need to be explained. First Amendment constrains GOVERNMENT action. In 2020, Biden held no government position. End of analysis.

Tell us all again about how Twitter was a trusted town hall that should be protected instead of that bad man buying it and forcing change . Where’s that dem congressman that told musk to get his business in order or they would ? 😂
