These forums cannot exist as they are without censorship. Everything becomes 4chan, which is a cesspool. No censorship of threats. No censorship of pornographic material. No censorship of harassment. Profanity. Hell, you couldn't even ban people because that's a form of censorship.

Correct.... and if you can censor then toy should be liable for information coming across your platform.... if your don't censor then you can't be held liable that's 230... but it shouldn't be both

Seems you’re intentionally confusing the words “parody” and “impersonation” in a disingenuous “gotcha” attempt. He openly says he has no problem with parody. But if you don’t disclose that it’s a parody account, you’re now an impersonator. Those are different things.

Some social media users are using the platform’s change as an opportunity to spread misinformation.

X posts with articles linked in them now display a thumbnail image that users can click to see the full article headline, following a change Wednesday initiated by Musk.

Users quickly got to tweeting links to news articles and accompanying them with false headlines.

Some of the tweets spread misinformation about Musk himself, including one that claimed Musk was arrested, another that claimed Musk endorsed President Joe Biden for reelection, and a third that claimed Musk died in an accident.




As of now, there does not appear to be a way to prevent X users from posting misinformation alongside news article links.
Musk has not made any public comment on the decision to remove article headlines.
