RIP Twitter

The vast majority of your complaints were extremely lame or were already occurring. It's just not as much of an echo chamber for you. You're not hard to figure out.
2 lies in 2 sentences, but you "figured out it's about being an echo chamber" when I'm telling you directly that I don't give a **** about that. Reading is hard for you to figure out lol

You've been getting your antisemitic posts removed? Perhaps community noted? The only people who had a negative reaction to Elon taking over were hardcore leftist extremists such as yourself. All you do is lie and beat around the point you're trying to make. You're not hard to figure out.

You are the Dunning Kruger Effect come to life, but probably don't know what that means lol. If I cared about seeing more Alex Joneses or whoever on Twitter I would simply not follow them, galaxy brain

Don't feel bad, not everyone can extrapolate.

So you do understand how twitter works. See, it's not bad and Elon didn't send it to RIP.

I mean, it's not dead but what are you even arguing at this point? You moved the goalposts if this is what you think is a winning point.

And since you brought it up, why is Twitter down 70% if there is nothing to criticize? "See, it's not bad?"

What have the goalposts been?

This is the context. He gave you a bunch of valid reasons. You're trying to frame a different argument for him (your beliefs about what speech is before/after) or moving the goalposts to, "it's not dead" which is a tactic big ego people use when the move should be to concede the point.

I use twitter all of the time. What has made it worse? It's far better now than it was before because you can actually have different opinions. Is that why you hate it? It's not as much of an echo chamber as it was before for you? Elvis Chan from the FBI admitted to us what was wrong with it before. He was a major part of the coordinated effort to suppress facts on social media before the election.

The title of the thread is RIP Twitter. Obviously a play on that.

I asked him why he didn't like it and he gave flakey, weak reasons many of which were already around before Elon took it over. Of course they were his reasons. YOU then bring up ad revenue being down. You still haven't answered my question as to what the goalposts were. I've been speaking on user experience.

The user experience is objectively worse, lol. “Well it’s not dead” as a response to that means you’ve already conceded and are talking just to talk

Nash didn't write the thread title so it has nothing to do with your convo. In fact, the thread was created at a time when conservatives were butthurt about Twitter being too left and thought it was going down. A little ironic.

...so tell the right wing thread author that Twitter is not dead.

It's not "Objectively worse". I haven't noticed much if anything and I'm on all the time. It's been better having some accounts that were frivolously banned be back.

Bold - Yet another that doesn't understand any kind of wit.

So? No one said that was his thread title. Stop moving the goalposts. Lighten up, allow a little humor into your joyless life. lol

I don't care about Musk or Twitter all that much. I've never had Twitter, but of course I've clicked on countless tweets posted here and other social media sites before.

I can easily see how it's devalued simply by the limited engagement for non users, like not showing replies or related tweets..... That's obviously counter to the standard model of feeding the user non stop related content all the platforms (FB, Reddit, Tiktok..) have built into their algorithms.

I've got two questions about the present user experience as opposed to how it was before Elon.

1. Haven't you stated something to the effect of the porn has become obtrusive? How is that different and hasn't the porn always been there? I have a reddit I occasionally use. The reddit interface is set up to easily filter out NSFW content so that it's not shown on your feed. Can you not do that with twitter?

2. Is "community" a misnomer with the community notes feature they've added, or is the info really curated from user engagement? Did twitter previously use Snopes or one of the fact checking sites? Is community notes an improvement?

EDIT: @NashVol11 , What's your take?

I didn't say anything about porn. I think that was Nash. IDK about the community question either.

LOL. The site going down is worse. The blue checkmark being a "who paid for Twitter Plus" marker is worse. Decreased compatibility with other sites is worse. The plagiarism guy being able to post a four THOUSAND word, 25K character Tweet and saying "continues below" is worse. Spam is worse. Name, branding, logo all worse (and there's still no "X" word to replace "tweet"). More spam, more ads, more replies clearly written by ChatGPT. And the only response to all of that is that a few banned idiots came back. Sounds like you agree it's worse too lol

I'm saying it's about the same to me. I also have some people back who were frivolously tossed (No not Alex Jones). I don't notice any extra bots or spam as before, perhaps I'm just better than you? I never cared about check marks before and I don't care now. This is the only place I have posted tweets and haven't had any issues. It'll always be twitter to me just like I don't update my stadium names to new sponsors. Seems like you're just a hateful dude and that par for the course concerning the other threads. I'm sure some hate twitter now, it hasn't bothered me.

I either have to pretend like Twitter is improved now, which it’s not, or I hate Twitter for political reasons? Lol your made up opinions for me are getting worse

And good parody accounts keep getting banned on this "free speech platform." There was no problem when the blue checkmarks worked. Musk created a problem where the solution was to infringe on speech with a new rule. You can't make this **** up. He literally turned a good feature into a bad feature to squeeze $ out of users, and then infringed on speech to put a bandaid on an unintended consequence. This is like ultimate rich bad guy stuff from a movie script.

Liam Nissan just got suspended, not because he was actually posing as Liam Neeson, but because Governor Abbott made a fool of himself arguing with him.

It does not matter what's actually happening on Twitter. Dudes just make up their own reality.

You could always move to truth social:p

When did I say you had to say it improved? Talk about making things up. I've only said some accounts that were frivolously tossed were back. You do hate twitter because you were told to for sure. Do you still use it a lot? Do you "Tweet" things?

You joke but I bet me made a Threads account...

Nobody made an account, they just used their existing Instagram. Threads is OK. I don't spend much time on there, but it's definitely sending me better push notifications than Twitter is.

FWIW, looks like Threads has 60x as many active daily users as Truth Social.
