How would fixing this problem make its valuation drop 75%, or whatever it is?

Bots made up 5% of Twitter according to an independent audit and their removal (if that even happened) can't possibly explain anything that you are trying to attribute to them, but nice try.

Anybody who has been paying attention to this story knows it's the number that Musk and Twitter fought over. They said their independent auditor said 5%. After Musk realized he made a bad deal, he tried to weasel out of it over this 5% figure. He couldn't get out of the deal because he couldn't prove they misled him. This is all you need to know about the bots problem when Musk took over. If they had lied, then he would have been able to get out.
 
We have to really thank Elon Musk if this fiasco of a bill to fund Ukraine with southern border provisions dies either in the senate or house. Before Musk and Twitter, we had biased algorithms, conservative voices banned from the public square, and laptops claimed to be unicorns. On X with Musk in charge, this bill was picked apart and its contents open to be viewed by all versus relying on state run media to tell us about all of its "positives".

Musk had buyer's remorse because the valuation for tech companies fell 30% or more in the months following his announcement to buy.

He negotiated a poor purchase agreement and tried to manufacture an excuse to get out of it. He couldn't...
