I never said 80% was , I said that 10% of the users accounted for 80% of the content . Then said Twitter is the definition of an echo chamber .

... but that is not the actual definition of an echo chamber.

ECHO CHAMBER : an environment in which a person encounters only beliefs or opinions that coincide with their own, so that their existing views are reinforced and alternative ideas are not considered.

The only way that's an echo chamber is if the content is in full agreement with itself.

When you consider a 2 to 1 tweet ratio followed by majority of user being Democrats...its a close to a social media echo chamber there is..especially when is come to silencing opposing view...but it not 100 echos

Yeah ... that's better.

Making a hard right turn with Twitter will come with peril. Musk needs to make it clear that liberal members are still welcome on the platform.

By all accounts Twitter is a risky buy. Musk is the only one that would touch it but I think he has other interests.

Maybe Musk should ban a few people.

I dont think its his intent at all to get rid of liberals - or for that matter, to get rid of ANYONE. The whole platform is better when EVERYONE has a voice. I don't know if progressives can stand not being in a sheltered environment though where they can no longer cancel things they dont like hearing.

Musk wants Twitter to be the global town square, available to EVERYONE. (which of course, gives it the largest audience as well).

Allowing dissenting opinions to be heard isn’t taking a “hard right turn”. Also based on news network ratings, I’d say at this moment there’s more danger in pissing off conservatives than there is liberals .
