RIP Twitter

Geez. This is what you liberals consider appropriate for public schools? You wonder why we conservatives don't trust any of you further than we can throw you.
Its disgusting isn't it...no buisness in a library for public school...maybe high school definitely not middle school and below..

What does making the algorithms open source mean?

The formulas that are used to filter results and push into trending or shadow banns will be public and worked on transparently by a public team. Similar to how a number of blockchain projects are run.

just means there will be a lot more transparency in how twitter decides to push one content over another

just spitballin' here but he may be referring to the algorithms used for flagging content -- so people could see where the biases lie

also for what gets promoted, becomes "trending" etc
Yeah like I said he’s a tech savvy owner. And he will get good knowledgeable info to help him make balanced decisions I’m sure

Seriously, I don't really care about much of this. I do hope he crushes the wall of prohibiting the rights of free speech that doesn't infringe on others. And no, alternative viewpoints don't infringe on others.

There is actual data on the “10% generate 80%” claim.
Good lord... this is the 4th time I've had to say this :

A social media echo chamber pertains to the platform's content, and what is allowed or not allowed. Your statistic does not address content at all. In an echo chamber dissenting points of view are not tolerated...
