Beaten to hell? Another fantastic excuse. When you were (well not Tennessee) winning those 7 straight titles it was steel sharpens steel. Now they aren't that month off isn't enough.

I love the Vols conference pride. Basically like Vandy it's what you have to latch on to.

In the past how many times did people whine about Boise not being considered for BCS? Who had they ever played? Now yes OSU is great but can you name an easier path to the playoffs for a power conference team?

I am rooting for Harbaugh to rebuild Michigan and I hate Michigan just to see OSU have to play someone.

Well since this is the 2nd year of the playoffs I guess Florida State last year? There are quite a few teams with an "easier" path that play in a major conference.

Buckeyenate, this is why I responded to Bama writer. He was discussing "if" osu were in the SEC, today I assumed. It not just the buckeyes who would get a dose of reality, but a whole bunch of others as well.

Again this is my entire point. For years all we have heard is teams can't compete and the grind is too hard. Texas didn't join the East. Oklahoma didn't join the East. MIZZOU who has been an average team my entire life is in Atlanta back to back years with 3 years in the league. That's the end of the argument.

Mizzou hasn't won the sec, yet. Or did I miss something. Mizzou could probably be the Big 11 Champs year in and year out...if!
