Ohio State is the best team. They are aided by the weakest schedule too. Those are not correlative but it makes their path the easiest and raises their odds.

Not as much as teams like Baylor and TCU were.

They are essentially an SEC talented Boise State. There is little doubt why people speculate what they'd do in another conference with wear and tear and tougher opponents.

...No

In the past how many times did people whine about Boise not being considered for BCS? Who had they ever played? Now yes OSU is great but can you name an easier path to the playoffs for a power conference team?

A Big 12 team, especially Baylor (TCU's OOC schedule is at least slighty better).

Oregon's schedule this year is better than last year's, but its difficulty wasn't astounding, either.

In the next two years maybe to Vols can meet the bucks in the playoffs, and all this arguing be settled!

They lost by three scores and I don't think they made a tackle all game long.

True their defense struggled (especially against the run...though their defense wasn't really their main strength that year either, their offense was).

But it stayed mostly around a 3 to 8 point game through the 3rd and into the 4th.

Auburn didn't get ahold of a steady more than one score lead - making it a 10 pt game - until 49 minutes into the game (11 min in the 4th). The last touchdown came when Missouri went for a 4th down at their own 12 with 4 minutes left in the game.

(Edit: there apparently was a brief 11 point lead in the 3rd quarter that lasted all of 22 seconds.)

It's always such a weird stat to relay.

I think one came because every team SEC played two yearly cross divisional teams (which they don't anymore).

Another took like the only divisional 3-way tie the conference has ever seen.

(One took like the worst year by an entire division in 2010.)

Buckeye you know you can actually combine all of your thoughts into one post, right? You don't have to click "submit reply" the second your thought is finished.

Also, if you do have another though pop into your head, you can always hit "edit" instead of making a brand new post for your brand new thought.

We all know no one on a message board would ever read a post that long. Most here just skim the beginning of the long ones before deciding to skip them and move onto the next shorter one haha :)

Conference Championship game hombre. I don't think he strictly meant SEC W.

Come on, you're smarter than that.

Honestly, it looked more like he was asking if last year's ohio state had been in the same position as 2011 LSU, would they be able to beat Alabama twice in the same year to win the national title.

Which is kind of an odd question to ask.

BuckeyeNate there is a very real possibility you will lose to the same coach that beat us while at Vandy. Then you will never be found on Volnation again.

This year or at some point? I don't think this is the year. Penn State is historically a top 5-10 program. Yes the odds are eventually Penn State will beat Ohio State.

As I have stated I hope that happens as well. I am rooting for Tennessee to have a big year. Most of the fans I have interacted with either here or in Knoxville are good people. Deserve a winner.

The thing about this whole exchange with a buckeye fan is that they need something to brag about. They live in a really sh!tty state with really sh!tty people where unions rule the world and hate life and each other. They have no hope and their way of life is declining as their union supported lifestyle moves to other countries.

Wish them goodbye as they are a dying breed and their snow covered, miserable world has been ruined by their arrogant ways.

So what you are saying is you aren't over Kentucky and 40-0. It's okay you still have Bama.

1-0 in 2015. Also you root for Tennessee right? Or are you one of those fans that celebrates Bama winning those titles?

Are you over the devastation of Kentucky not finishing 40-0 in hoops?

You say "1-0 in 2015". But say we've lost 2 of the last 3 to Vandy. Guess what dipshet, we are 1-0 in the last game we played them. So why don't you gtfo with your hypocritical reasoning. No one is going to apologize for seeing straight through your pathetic charade.

People are going to start taking you less seriously, and you are going to push yourself into a corner where no one will listen to what you have to say, but you're totally OK with that, right? Right, because despite your obviously empty rhetoric about "rooting for Tennesseee", you are a troll and thats how trolls operate.

Who are you? Why do I care whether you like my reasoning. You have lost 2 out of 3 to Vandy. Sorry bruh. I am rooting for Tennessee to do well. In discussion I can point out how they have basically fallen on their face vs Vandy, Florida, and Mizzou.

This is a thread that asked to predict a record. I did and some didn't care for it. Good luck this season my friend.

Well UT is my first and foremost. BUT, I am also an Indiana fan, and since they are SUCH a big rival I'll go ahead and make a prediction:

W - Southern Illinois
L - FIU
L - Western Kentucky
L - Wake Forest
L - Ohio State
L - Penn State
L - Rutgers
L - Michigan State
L - Iowa
L - Michigan
L - Maryland
L - Purdue

1-11 (0-8). We will make the FCS playoffs by virtue of being an undefeated 1-0 against FCS teams. Go Hoosiers!

Oregon

Realistic 10-2

Eastern Washington - home - win
Michigan State - road - loss
Georgia State - home - win
Utah - home - win
Colorado - road - win
Washington State - home - win
Washington - road - win
Arizona State - road - loss
Cal - home - win
Stanford - road - win
USC - home - win
Oregon State - home - win

Worst 7-5
Best 12-0

New QB Vernon Adams, graduate transfer from Eastern Washington (Oregon's first opponent this yer). At EWU he completed 65% of his passes the last two years for over 8000 yards, Beat #25 Oregon State 49-46 in 2013 and threw for 7 TDs in 2014 vs. Washington in a 59-52 loss. He was runner up for the Walter Payton award the last two years.

3-5 wins. They should probably beat at least 3 or 4 of those starting 4 games.
