Road Uniforms?

There was one year that Notre Dame had white jerseys with green #s. The green jerseys they wore last year were obviously a lighter shade of green than the season prior. Of course ND always loses when they wear green. USC changed the way their stripes look on the shoulders. That's the only significant changes. UGA and Michigan changed the material for their unis but opted not to add the infamous Miami stripe on the lower back portion. We need to go Nebraska style. Orange jerseys/white pants w stripes home, white jerseys/orange pants w stripes away.

I think they should go with orange jerseys, white pants with orange stripes at home and white jerseys with black outlines on the numbers and solid white pants on the road.

I'm curious if this is an age thing or not. For those of you who do NOT like the orange pants, have you always known the Vols in White/White? Are you too young to have ever seen the orange pants live? Or have you only seen clips and highlights. Just curious about this.

I'm nearly right down the middle in that I watched 18 years with orange pants, and the past 14 with the white. Maybe it's a childhood fondness, but again, I like the white jersey and orange pants.

Hell, I say wear whatever we wore throughout The "98 - 99 season !

That would be exactly what they are wearing now minus the orange stripes on the pants and a wider stripe on the helmet.

I watched 21 years of orange pants and they make me gag. I love orange, but those pants are just too gaudy for me.

Notre Dame doesn't come up with a different green uniform. They just wear green jerseys occasionally. What exactly did USC, Mich and Ohio St. change? I must have missd those.

Dude...chill...I wasn't saying you were wrong...I was asking because I obviously missed it. The USC change was quite a while ago. I thought you meant they changed them last year. I hadn't seen the new Ohio St. jersey. I think that looks much better without the big gray stripe. I'm not sure the the tiny wrap on the Mich. jersey constitutes a change, though. UT has made changes to the extent you are talking about here. I just think a wholesale change of pants color is a bigger change, and changes the look of the team much more than a pinstripe width wrap and shades of green do.
