Rob Lewis Says Lawrence Frank Would Be Interested in Talking To Tennessee

Not necessarily. Definitely doesnt tell me he could do it on the college level.

For one, 90% of 5* and 4* recruits want to get to the NBA. They don't want an education, so they see an ex-NBA coach as a advantage to get their.

Another reason, is we'd actually see a halfcourt offense. Under Bruce, is was chaos, running and shooting.

And who wouldn't want a guy that's has ties to Tennessee, and has coach in the Big League? I just see it as the best we could get, if Bruce is fired. :hi:

sorry guys, your crazy if you think we can attract top level coaches right now. with questions looming over the ad and possible ncaa bans on post season play, say hello mid major coach.

The sanctions on the program will be limited with Pearl gone. Absolutely no reason we could not get a top level coach.

Even if the NCAA yanks a couple of scholarships, most people don't remember that we spent a few years down a scholarship earlier in the Pearl era due to APR penalties. That didn't exactly cripple the program.

It wouldn't matter to the Pearlophiles if UT hired Phil Jackson or Pat Riley.

Not what is being said here at all. We could get any nba retread and that doesnt mean we win games.

Posted via VolNation Mobile if I was hiring an ex nba coach for the recruiting aspect it wouldnt be lawrence frank for sure. I would hire someone with better name recognition if that were my reasoning. Again Im not saying he wouldnt work out....just saying its not a slam dunk that some want to make it

Lawrence Frank is an excellent coach that is extremely well-respected in the profession. He'd be a Hell of a hire.

You may be right but has he been the man on the college level?

Being a student at Wake Forest during their current basketball dilemma, I would never recommend hiring a coach that is from the NBA (Bzdelik).

Depends.

Sidney Lowe is available but I wouldn't be excited about hiring him. P. J. Carlesimo nor Mike Montgomery really gets me exicited either.
Montgomery and carlesimo have both been to the final 4

Yea, he's definitely solid. He's the lead assistant for the Celtics. He did a solid job with what he had in New Jersey as well.
