I might be wrong but i think he was considered to be head coach of celtics before Doc. Rivers returned.

A very good hire IMO....

He took the Nets to the conference semifinals 3 out of 6 years

Not exactly a ringing endorsement in the east though is it? And they had good talent didnt they? Why did he ultimately get canned? Cause the losing skid or something else?

If you consider a past his prime J-Kidd, an always "Hurt" Vince Carter, and Richard Jefferson good talent...sure.

Pretty good for not having a low post scorer.

Kidd lead the league in assists during franks first year, vince was top 10 scorer, and jefferson was all rookie team. Not too bad for the 3 u mentioned but i dont know the others.

If Lowe can pull the kids he does, as terrible a coach as he is, Frank can pull talent and win

Someone who could pull in 4 or 5 star caliber players AND run a half-court set? Yes. I don't care if it is only for a couple of years.

Put me in the pro-Larry Brown camp. Sure he's 70, but he won't stay long anyway because that's not his M-O. Outside of a NCAA title (and NBA title), all he does is make you better.

Detroit Pistons struggling to make it to the Finals? Hire Larry Brown and enjoy your ring!

Charlotte-freakin-Bobcats? Hire Larry Brown and enjoy your trip to the playoffs!

Tennessee made the Elite Eight Last year. Hire Larry Brown and ???????

In our wildest dreams. LB is one of the few that could 1. Save any of the talent we still have returning. 2. Retain the kids on our present short list and commitments. 3. Quiet the fan base (MOST OF IT ANYWAY).

GO VOLS!!

Yea, he's definitely solid. He's the lead assistant for the Celtics. He did a solid job with what he had in New Jersey as well.

Amazing how many people forget what happened during that time. During Frank's tenure, the Nets gutted their roster and started a rebuilding process. I thought he did really well there.

Still think that it is a pipe dream for Frank to coach at UT, but would be amazing if it did happen.

Just my opinion.

I don't follow the NBA super close, but to a decent degree. I have honestly never heard of this guy.

He would be a great hire and a great recruiter. Jones and Ware would quickly change their mind about wanting a release.

Link? because I dont buy that. These 2 kids are gone if Tn hires a no name coach and more than likely gone if they do hire a big name coach
