Robert Hubbs SG TN '13

Pretty awesome news. Landing Hubbs would be pretty mjaor. I'd LOVE to see King in a UT uniform....long shot at best but I can still dream

Add Crawford in there if we go with getting 6 :loco:.

Sure thing.

At this point I think 5 or 6 we sign. We lose mcbee, miller, hall, maymon and I'm guessing atleast 1 of the wings will transfer. And then you have the stokes decision as scholarship number 6 possibly, could even be 7 if we had 2 transfers(very realistic).

are playing for former Gator Mike Miller's AAU team this summer.
I spoke with a person very, very, very close to Hubbs and he said the top three currently are Florida, Vandy, and UT. Also said he and his family are big CCM fan.I truely feel now that UT is a major player. If I here anything else I'll let you know.

If Cuonzo Martin and his staff could get Jarnell Stokes away from Florida then they can certainly get both Robert Hubbs and Austin Nichols. Go get em CCM.

CCM: So I hear that Billy Donovan has been in touch with you Robert.

Hubbs: Yes, coach he has.

CCM: He didn't happen to mention that I own his ass, did he?

Well, Donovan has two titles and two straight Elite Eights to throw around, so I don't think CCM "owning" Donovan will be the reason that Hubbs *possibly* goes to Tennessee.

I'm pretty sure that if Cuonzo Martin had that kind of talent that he would've also gotten to 2 straight elite eights.

Not good. He really enjoys playing with Austin and could quite possibly be a package deal whether it be with the Vols or the Devils.

I can't fault CCM if we lose them to duke, not much you can do about that. However, it'd be HUGE to land those 2.

I tHink it should be noted that Cuonzo has been recruiting good talent before big schools have offered

I was thinking this same thing. He was on Crawford, Johnson, Dyson and even hubbs before those guys blew up. Everyone had been on king and jw3, but CCM kind of quietly seemed to have got in with Crawford and them while others were busy on the big time guys. Now that they've all blown up though they're all receiving major offers.

Hopefully they put some weight on CCM being one of the first to offer them.

I hated hearing the kid got a Duke offer. I knew they were showing interest but I was hoping they wouldn't extend an offer. Going to be even tougher to get this kid now.

I am glad that schools such as Duke and NC are offering players we are recruiting. They can not sign all of them and it tells me we are recruiting top notch players.

I agree with this. I would much rather UT recruit the best and take some lumps here and there, than them to be competing with lower level schools for guys we have never heard of.

This just doesn't make sense in this guy's scenario. A rescinded Duke/NC offer doesn't change this kid's basketball abilities.

All the offers do is lessen the chances of him coming to UT. I'd rather the powerhouse teams overlook the guy while concurrently help UT's chances of landing the guy.

Seems as if you have given up before you start.
