I'm also hearing we have pulled away from the pack quite a bit. Its just a matter of when he annouces now.
I saw on twitter that Nichols is trying to get Hubbs to play at Briarcrest this year with him. Good or bad for us if that happened? I say good because they obviously want to play together.
From what I read, Hubbs said "We talked about playing together, it's up to that man (Nichols). Atleast thats what i heard on the Mizzou website. From what I hear, he's probably going to UT, but maybe Mizzou. I hear Nichols likes Dook, they dont have the best track record with big men. That said, I hope he goes to either MU or UT, keep it in the SEC. I felt the same with Pollard (bama).
coach Miller going to Auburn sucks, but it wont change anything with these 2 recruits. 1 they aint going to Auburn, 2. Miller wasnt recruiting them, and 3. They aint going to Auburn.
Miller leaving DEFINITELY has an impact on Nichols and Hubbs. In regards to whether or now he was the primary recruiter for those 2 I can't confirm, however I can assure you miller was the reason boh guys had initial interest in Mizzou. His cousin coaches their M33M team and other cousin sponsors the team.
You can go ahead and eliminate Mizzou for both guys, there's a better chance they go to Auburn than Mizzou.
Here is what I've been told;
a rivals guy;
A day before the Ryan Miller news broke, I interviewed 2013 prospects Robert Hubbs and Austin Nichols. Both players are from the Memphis area and many assumed Ryan Miller was leading Mizzou's efforts to land them. However, I asked both Hubbs and Nichols about their relationship with the Mizzou coaching staff and Miller's name was never mentioned. Haith is recruiting both and both have said they are very interested in Mizzou since they play they're style of basketball.
I'm not gonna go all "hogville.net" and claim to know anything you dont. they probably will be Tennessee favorites; dont know.
