Robert Hubbs SG TN '13

Kind of funny that the ESPN article says he "settles to often for jump shots when driving lanes are open" when in another article about his game I've seen said that he too often goes all the way to the hoop instead of pulling up for the mid range shot. What does it mean! haha He's a baller and does what he feels is the best look, imo.

I think our chances are even better now.

Don't shoot the messenger, but from my inside sources, Hubbs doesn't like the make up of Duke. He's afraid he may "stick out" if you know what I'm saying.

Lulz

Nice. Cross thread humor keeps us all on our toes.

Fairly reliable & close source that I spoke to 3-4 days ago feels he'll stay in Orange.

I think Hubbs is a Martin fan.

I hope he doesn't run across the Bye Bye Cuonzo thread on here!!

I'm also hearing we have pulled away from the pack quite a bit. Its just a matter of when he annouces now.

I saw on twitter that Nichols is trying to get Hubbs to play at Briarcrest this year with him. Good or bad for us if that happened? I say good because they obviously want to play together.

The new of his "committment" may have been true. Many have said that it's possible he told CCM he wants to committ, but he wants to wait until K is back in the country to inform him himself. Hubbs comes from a great family and this is very possible, if we see his committment in the next month we will know this was the case.

I don't think they're a "package deal" in the sense that anywhere one goes the other will for sure. Like the Harrison, they're a package deal, but I could see hubbs committing early and Nichols waiting until later and still looking, so I don't think they're a definite package deal.

Now I'm sure the thought of playing together is a plus, and is enticing, much like how Nichols feels about stokes. So if we were to get a hubbs committ soon it could definitely help with Nichols, but like I said I dont think it's necessarily a definite.

From what I read, Hubbs said "We talked about playing together, it's up to that man (Nichols). Atleast thats what i heard on the Mizzou website. From what I hear, he's probably going to UT, but maybe Mizzou. I hear Nichols likes Dook, they dont have the best track record with big men. That said, I hope he goes to either MU or UT, keep it in the SEC. I felt the same with Pollard (bama).
coach Miller going to Auburn sucks, but it wont change anything with these 2 recruits. 1 they aint going to Auburn, 2. Miller wasnt recruiting them, and 3. They aint going to Auburn.

@a_nichols33: Everyone follow my guy @datkiddRobert he is a baller!! Trying to get him at the crest..!

DatkiddRobert's is Hubbs.

School at Dyer County starts in a week.....

odds are, he'll be there.

Miller leaving DEFINITELY has an impact on Nichols and Hubbs. In regards to whether or now he was the primary recruiter for those 2 I can't confirm, however I can assure you miller was the reason boh guys had initial interest in Mizzou. His cousin coaches their M33M team and other cousin sponsors the team.

You can go ahead and eliminate Mizzou for both guys, there's a better chance they go to Auburn than Mizzou.

Here is what I've been told;

a rivals guy;
A day before the Ryan Miller news broke, I interviewed 2013 prospects Robert Hubbs and Austin Nichols. Both players are from the Memphis area and many assumed Ryan Miller was leading Mizzou's efforts to land them. However, I asked both Hubbs and Nichols about their relationship with the Mizzou coaching staff and Miller's name was never mentioned. Haith is recruiting both and both have said they are very interested in Mizzou since they play they're style of basketball.

I'm not gonna go all "hogville.net" and claim to know anything you dont. they probably will be Tennessee favorites; dont know.

Those 2 guys are smart, they know what they're saying in these interviews. They compliment each school, and neither of them claim to have leaders or even a solid top 5, but most know better than that.

I would be shocked if we continue to see Mizzou be a serious contender for either hubbs or Nichols.
