Robert Hubbs SG TN '13

Miller leaving DEFINITELY has an impact on Nichols and Hubbs. In regards to whether or now he was the primary recruiter for those 2 I can't confirm, however I can assure you miller was the reason boh guys had initial interest in Mizzou. His cousin coaches their M33M team and other cousin sponsors the team.

You can go ahead and eliminate Mizzou for both guys, there's a better chance they go to Auburn than Mizzou
.

Here is what I've been told;

a rivals guy;
A day before the Ryan Miller news broke, I interviewed 2013 prospects Robert Hubbs and Austin Nichols. Both players are from the Memphis area and many assumed Ryan Miller was leading Mizzou's efforts to land them. However, I asked both Hubbs and Nichols about their relationship with the Mizzou coaching staff and Miller's name was never mentioned. Haith is recruiting both and both have said they are very interested in Mizzou since they play they're style of basketball.

I'm not gonna go all "hogville.net" and claim to know anything you dont. they probably will be Tennessee favorites; dont know
.

Thanks for the info................now I don't know WHAT to think. I'm way to impatient.

Those 2 guys are smart, they know what they're saying in these interviews. They compliment each school, and neither of them claim to have leaders or even a solid top 5, but most know better than that.

I would be shocked if we continue to see Mizzou be a serious contender for either hubbs or Nichols.

I think most kids with that kind of exposure should be. It will be interesting. If you look at our SG, we have Jabari Brown (#19 2011 recruit), Jorden Clarkson, Negus Webster-Chan (former 4 star L'ville recruit that switched), we are fairly set at. Might be interesting, he could probably compete for the starting spot, (I've seen Jabari practice) would be a war.
Nichols-wouldnt have much competition at MU for the 4 spot.
I'm not very familiar with UT roster, so if you will, enlighten me.

Like I said, if we don't get them, I hope yall do. I love competition, and I can't see how those two arent a top 10 class.
How are yall on scholarships? How many are available and what positions are yall in need of?

Well I just got a retweet from both of them on twitter. I made sure to mention Vols.

I'm interested with Twitter, I just opened a twitter account, and I've spoken with several people about the "importance" of twitter.

Just wondering, if you are following either of Hubbs or Nichols, who are you and them both following?
Just kinda curious, since Hubbs is following Coach Haith, Laurence Bowers, Zach Coleman (a Mizzou '13 recruit), a rivals MU guy Brian Austin.
I was wondering what any of that means. Probably nothing, just curious if anybody thinks differently.

I'm sure it means very little, since I assume they follow many, many people from all different schools, I'm just not familiar with it.

We will lose 3 of our posts after this year, and a 2 guard, so 4 scholarships. It's possible stokes goes pro and we lose 4 of our posts, but I don't think it's likely. So, if stokes stays we only have 2 post guys on roster, Nichols basically has a starting spot and 20+ minutes probably guaranteed. None of our wings are "elite" players like Hubbs. He would come in and start from day 1 as well IMO.

Yea who players follow means nothing. Nichols is probably following atleast 100 coaches.

First off I want to thank MarineInMo for his services!

CCM has 18 people he is following. 12 are recruits. He was following Thornwell a while ago, but now he's not. A sign? He's following Hubbs, Nichols, JW3, King, Kingsley, Crawford, Ja Johnson, Agau, Q Stephens, Landry, AJ Davis, and Alvin Ellis. (the last two I haven't heard of them before). Call me a stalker if you want, oh well lol. But I have a question, coaches can't say who they are recruiting right?

Appreciate the S/O. I use the name only for continuity purposes (my handle on many message boards). I hope I am afforded the ability to be a regular poster, as I am a fan of all college sports. Don't get me wrong, I can be a homer (SEC Smack Board - Convince me your team can compete)

P.s. I would love to read a reply to the thread I posted, since I am a noob, I cannot start a thread) and I was drunk, and don't remember that post, but am curious to hear responses, haha, sorry if it comes off wrong.

No but really I don't do twitter. I did when we were recruiting Tobias Harris but...I forgot my info on there or something. I usually go to 247 and look at Hubbs and Nichols page because they have the twitter tracker thing but that's about as far as I go.

Great to have you man! Ppl are usually nice to rival / other schools posters when they act normal. We have a ton of UK and UF fans. You won't see many Vandy fans because there is only about 12 and most of them hang out at catpause I've heard :p

Lol don't forget about our little brothers, a couple of Memphis fans.

Yea not allowed to say who they're recruiting.

That is interesting who CCM is following, and that he no longer is following thornwell, confident that ship has sailed.

Speaking of UK fans where has bigpussycat been hiding?

I was always told Vandy fans are a myth.

Not sure why he would have to sit if he moved 2 hours from home to a private school from a public school.

When you look at it that way, it doesn't seem so bad. I was assuming that the rest of the family would stay in Newbern, and the TSSAA would look at him changing schools more of Briarcrest recruiting than someone simply moving.

Yeah, private schools have been recruiting for a long time, which is a key reason for them being bracketed into their own separate divisions in the TSSAA.

His situation would be different from Stokes' because Stokes was looking to transfer from one Memphis city public school to another. If you are from Knoxville, it would equate to transferring from Halls to Powell (public to public) vs Halls to CAK (public to private).

Actually, I'm from Dyersburg. I'm all for anything that takes Dyer County down a notch. I just wasn't aware that there was no penalty for transferring from a public school to private.
