Was name co-MVP of the big strick classic tonight.

For those that don't know it's a game held in harlem, they pit NYC players verse the best players across the country. Tons of talent, the best of the best on the court for this one and hubbs really showed out.

Can't wait to see him in orange!

My heart is gonna be broken if doesn't play for UT lol. In my mind, it's a done deal and I don't think I can accept anything else ;)

i'm new to the board and was jw if yall think duke is the only team we should worry about. if not who else has a decent shot at him?

Right now it seems to be that way. A lot of us here think he could possibly be a silent commitment right now for us. Only time will tell tho.

I agree, but he is a High School Senior, with lots of people wanting him. I hope he stays in Orange.

Hey guys I am new to posting to this board but have been reading it for awhile and love the info you all bring. I am a huge UT basketball and a huge CCM fan. I think that what he is doing with this recruiting class shows how important it is. It also speaks dividends that the head coach himself is showing up at these tourneys front and center and making sure these kids see him. I also thing the way he is able to relate to these kids is already paying off. From what I have seen and read we lead for Hubbs,Nichols and we are more of a player with King then people want to think. Also I hear that Kings parents love coach Martin and that they have struck an accord with them. Although I think Memphis is leading Coach Martin is refusing to play Brides Maid to them and more of trying to do what many coaches have tried to do and that is get kids from Memphis and I think he will and it will start this year JMOP.

Robert Hubbs said that Tennessee and Auburn stand out most in his recruitment.

“[Tennessee coach] Cuonzo Martin, he’s come to really all my games,” Hubbs said. “He’s there, he tells me he’s going to be there every game to watch me play.”

Hey guys what do u all think about the pg situation? I am thinking that Landry is currently being recruited over with the recent offer for the Samuels kid. Personally I like him. I think that Martin really liked Landrys play in the beginning and then after the bad showings he had in the EYBL Martin has decided to actively pursue other avenues for a point guard. I think that my top 2 would be Newkirk and Samuels but I would like for us to try with the Austin kid that decommitted from Penn State

Well Brandon Austin isn't a point guard so that wouldn't serve a whole lot of purpose.

I'd keep an eye on both Newkirk and Samuels though.

Ok thanks Bto. What your take on Landry? I think that if we get another pg commit that we will cut ties with Landry.

I think Austin goes to Georgetown and it's almost certain CCM wants another point guard. We seem to be searching high and low.

There's zero chance we take 2 PG's so yea, if we signed another PG we wouldn't keep landry.

In all honesty I'll be a bit surprised if he signs with Tennessee, I see CCM asking him to not sign in November and Landry probably looking elsewhere.

Ok gotcha. I just cant wait til bball time. I think that the whole world gonna see what coach Martin cab really do. Imo I think that this team has bonded really well and we are gonna to put the whole sec on notice.

I've been hearing Auburn is on the top of the list along with Nichols out of Memphis . Mike Millers brother is coaching there if I heard correctly . ( just some local rumors here , nothing more):peace2:

The part about Hubbs comes from a friend of his fathers that I ate breakfast with friday , I guess I do find it funny though ( Auburn LOL ) . I doubt seriously he'll attend Memphis so it really makes me no nevermind .

Like I said , just rumors , but from a friend of the family who goes to all Roberts games , he may know something ???
