Great news on Marve, but not so fast on Newton,,,, Remember Oku coming after Brown commits, i thought he would not come as did many others but he did. Newton can still make the commit and be here next year as well. Tennessee is H-O-T right now. Can you spell Houshmanzada!?

Seriously, he is a leader and if he plays like i expect him to he will be a real playmaker for us. His problem is he made the wrong decision in going to Miami. The 'U' is not a well run team at the moment. That is why we can get someone like Jose Jose to come up to Rocky Top.

rufus failed to graduate from Coffeyville. Not sure if he plans to keep going to JC, doubt it. He will probably never play anywhere else. Likely finished.

Lot of non-qualifiers never get out of Juco and end up giving up trying. There are a lot who do get out, enter a 4 year school and can't compete academcially and flunk out...

Dwight Jones is a kid that likely never makes it in college. He has tried prep school for 2 years and can't get grades.

I can't believe this thread isn't jumping. If anyone is wondering why we did not recruit a 2009 QB, this is the reason. Marve will be a stud. For all those Coleman lovers that said we let him go to bring in a super 2010 QB prospect, you read to many articles in the Chatt. Free Press. This addition puts a butt load of pressure on Scroggins/Hendrix/Heaps to sign.

This is true but you know the word was already out there about Brown coming here by then. Both choices were within a week or so if I remember right.

Watch some Marve highlights at the U. There are some flashes of greatness there. I think this kid has a ton of upside. He looks A LOT like Drew Brees/Steve Young. Makes sick throws on the run.

Dude he showed potential in Miami's scheme. That was after the accident. Also he was throwing to a very young group of receivers at the U.
