Robert Morris transfer F Aj Bramah

He seemed to be to slow to make it up the court against sec competition. He did average 12 points and 6 rebounds a game in the a-sun though.
Probably more his speed. I was speaking strictly of his time at Tennessee. And his dad was a loudmouth rec parent, to boot, IIRC. I'll never forget him shooting a layup over the backboard. As a 7-footer, that is almost unthinkable unless he momentarily forgot that the goal was 10 feet off the ground instead of 12 feet.

Yeah, love this kid's motor and athleticism. Still, tho, I wouldn't want AJ as UT's only post transfer, I think we need more size. But, if UT could pair this kid up, with an Alexander or Cardwell type, I would be ecstatic

Remember Boomer Herndon? He graduated high school the same year as I did, we heard a lot about a 7ft white kid that was breaking backboards in middle Tennessee. He never could get into the rotation at Tennessee but he transferred and had a pretty nice career at Belmont.
He put on like 40 points after he left UT. If he’d shown as much grit in the weight room while here, who knows.

A true 7 footer that can actually contribute is a dream in Knoxville apperantly.

Just curious as to how many good true 7 footers there are in college basketball. You don’t need it in today’s game anymore.

Villanova won a title with their tallest starter at 6’8.” Gonzaga and Baylor have 7 footers on their rosters, but none are real contributors. Timme is 6’10” at Gonzaga, and Baylor doesn’t really play a true 5. Their tallest contributor is 6’9” and labeled as a guard/forward.

Just need length and a 4/5 who can make an outside shot.

I thought he transferred to Oklahoma State?

The Big Man projects just haven’t worked out very much if at all. It seems we’re always just a little bit short. Either a big, a true point, or depth.

This kid is averaging 21 points per game and 10.3 rebounds per game. If we could get half of that from him, next year, he could help the team, significantly. He is an aggressive high flying athlete, the complete opposite of EJA. I think his game is more suited for the SEC than EJ's and he could be a very productive player for the Vols. If BHH doesn't reclassify, we will still need another bigger post player to pair up with AJ, imo. If we can get this kid, I think he is a definite take and I hope we can

Good luck finding one. I'd settle for a big ol' corn fed 6'10" white boy to bang down low ala Bill Laimbeer.

We have one of those in Plavsic, and he can’t get on the floor and everyone hates him. I can’t see how signing another version is going to appease fans.

Trouble is that the big guys don't want to play that kind of basketball today. They want to step out and be 3 point shooters instead of grinding it out in the paint.
I feel pretty sure in saying that if a Patrick Ewing or Akeem Olajuwon came along, there would certainly be big time schools ready to play that kind of game again.

I'll say this about Uros. He appears to be a true team player. First one out of his seat to pick up a fallen team mate or cheer on a big play. Hopefully the light turns on and he shows coach he's a great practice player. Maybe he'll then get a couple of mins under the net.

The strangest thing about Uros is that out of nowhere, he had a 16 pt/3 reb game against Mississippi State with Reginald Perry and Abdul Ado defending him, last year. Go look at his career game log, and that game sticks out like a sore thumb. He made 6-12 shots in that game. He hasn’t even attempted 6 shots in any other single game in his career.

Where is that player?

May need to run faster wind sprints and puke more often in practice.

Well, yeah! Who gives a rip? We already have cheerleaders.

I remember there was one game his last season earlier in the season and it was probably his best game as a Vol and the Vol Network gave him the Player of the Game. And even at the time I felt like it was almost like a sympathy player of the game.

I’ve thought he’s looked more competent in his limited minutes this season
He still needs to learn to use the glass around the basket. Would love to see him make a Will Perdue like improvement at some point, who became aggressive around the basket.
