I guess the only draw back to Rubio would be the demonizing of the tea party by the lame stream media. They'd be all over that like flies on you know what.
I don't have a problem with immigration. I have a problem with granting amnesty to people here that didn't go through the proper channels. I haven't heard a staunch stance on immigration policy from Romney. I imagine he doesn't favor what Obama did recently. Illegals is the problem. I've heard Romney talk about that. Immigration i must have missed. The drawback to picking Rubio is that he favors a relaxed immigration policy, at odds with Romney's own announced position.
The drawback to Rubio in getting picked is that if Romney loses he risks getting Palinized.
Romney better take the gloves off. He's been a little too nice up to this point. If he debates Obama on the real issues, he'll make him look bad. I'm not sure he will. Romney has up to this point been way to conservative.I think the vp pick isn't that important b/c any of the top 3 are great choices. Even if he picks someone random it will still be a great choice b/c Romney will make a smart decision backed by data
It's all going to come down to the debates where Obama will finally have to answer questions about his awful record
