In most of the cases I've seen, it is just the opposite. He votes against the spending bills first. Then, the end up passing anyways. Now, there is this money available that he didnt request. Now what should he do? Should he fall on the sword and refuse the money for his district, only for so other representative to come in and spend the money anyways? Or should he at that point not leave the money on the table and make an attempt to bring the district's money back from Washington somehow?
I really want to know what the correct answer is on this. The money is going to be spent anyways once the bills are passed. Should he let it sit on the table or bring it home? Or is there a 3rd option that would be more acceptable? I would really like to know.

If LG thought he could win the nomination, he would be singing a different tune. Trust me

I see both sides of the argument. I think it comes down to whether you believe the "but everyones doing it" defense is acceptable in this situation.
That Beinart article is very interesting and the take on an isolationist GOP versus the neocons of the 90's and the Bush administrations, verging on imperialist in their thinking, is very apt.
isolationism - definition of isolationism by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.
A national policy of abstaining from political or economic relations with other countries.
the policy or doctrine directed toward the isolation of a country from the affairs of other nations by a deliberate abstention from political, military, and economic agreements.
In a statement, Bachmann responded that Sorenson's defection was "a deliberate move by the Ron Paul campaign to discredit our campaign and growing momentum."
Closing Strait of Hormuz not so easy for Iran: analysts | ReutersIran's threat followed European Union foreign ministers' decision to tighten sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program and leave the door open to the possibility of an oil embargo, and moves by the United States to expand sanctions as well.
I've never seen this type of venom aimed at any other candidate in my entire life. The GOP is actually engaged in voter suppression and telling people to not participate in the political process. WOW!
