Per Hubbs......

I am hearing that he is heading west to join the USC staff. And will be there on Monday working.

I guess Dooley wanted his own guy. I think this one is tough. I think Ausmus wanted to be here. I don't think he had enough assurances that he would be to pass on a job offer at USC.

The players really, really like Ausmus and will be upset.

I kind of felt like this was coming. We almost have to start with a clean slate. Ausmus was a Kiffin guy from when he was at USC, so Im not shocked. Plus, the hatch system sucks.

Per Hubbs on possible S&C coach replacement.... He is referring to Tommy Moffitt, former Vol and current LSU S&C coach.

I think Dooley would like to have Moffitt, but I don't know if that is realistic.

One name to keep an eye on is former Vol Tom Myslinski who is with the Cleveland Browns. He and Chuck Smith are friends.

Wow your the first that I've seen say the hatch system sucks. All my reading is that it has been highly successful wherever it was implemented. Now Johnny Long sucked, but that was Johnny, not necessarily the hatch system that he came up in.

I am with you. We spend millions of dollars a year supporting and watching. Spend yours, mine and all of our fellow vol fans and natics wisely however top dollar needs to be paid out.

I have no problem with AA jumping ship if he isn't confident he'll be retained but following Kiffin is a slap in the program's face. I guess business is business but I can't buy into a guy saying he has put his heart into a program and then following a guy who wiped his rear with that program's tradition. If he goes to USC, to hell with him.

Hated to see this one happen. I know he was a Kiffin staffer but he was a Vol and the players really liked him. Word is per TOS he wanted to stay but was uncomfortable with the pace of his security for the job..

Everytime we lose a coach, A name comes out followed by, but we probably won't get him. I guess that happens when u r trying to get the best...

UT slapped him in the face for not offering him the job,IMO. He has a family and career to support himself. He wanted to be at UT. I don't know how u can blame this one on AA. He has been there since kiffin left and if CDD can hire coaches and recruit players then he could have offerd AA the job..

CDD must want to go another direction.. GBO

I understand Dooley has a lot going on right now but if he cannot manage his time better and work something as simple as this out then hes an idiot.

Thanks for your vote of confidence. I highly doubt that you could do any better, so what does that make you? You have no idea of the circumstances or what he is planning, and yet you make remarks like that.
