Rumor about Harris and Goins fathers

Heard a rumor that they had to be broken up at a game recently and Harris' dad said Tobias wouldn't be back next year. Anybody else hear this?

sounds like something that could easily be made up. it probably didn't happen, but that won't stop 2 or 3 people with "sources" from saying it did.

Because he got in a fight with melvins dad? Makes no sense why he'd say tobias want be back when goins will be gone

This sounds like something Torel Harris would say but who knows if it happened.

Torel is very invested in Tobias' future and I could see him demanding a transfer if he doesn't like the direction of the program or how Tobias is being used. I've wondered whether they are happy with the minutes that Tobias plays. A lot of the other top Freshman in the country have more opportunities on the court while Pearl Jr eats a lot of Tobias' minutes.

This is off topic, but does anyone else think Tobias looks alot older than he is? Maybe 30 or 35? To me he looks like an old man amongst boys.

Haha.... where did you hear this rumor?

What difference would it make to Goins' father whether Tobias is back next year or not?

Assuming for the moment this is true (I obviously don't know and don't really care), does anyone else think it is a problem how involved some peoples' parents are in their college sports careers? Half the point of college is learning to grow up and make a way for yourself. How can that happen for a kid if his parents keep interjecting themselves into every situation?

As I've said before, I'll be shocked if Harris is in Knoxville for the 11-12 season, whether Pearl is on the sidelines or not.

some people need to take some responsibility. Harris's D sucks, and he is hot and cold offensively. Some of that is coaching, but not all of it.

too much $$ is at stake for parents not to be apart of their kids college

Why would he leave after his freshman year to be a 2nd round pick with a potential NBA lockout looming?
