Rumor about Harris and Goins fathers

I don't know. But he's not meant to play with his back to the basket and that's pretty obvious. He's way more comfortable off the dribble. His 3-point ability and mid-range jumper are much better than many give him credit for - he just doesn't use it enough. He'll get better at that and will get better at finishing with his back to the basket.

I see people comparing him to Tyler Smith and that's just a bad comparison other than the fact they're both black and both played the 4 at Tennessee. He's a better shooter and better with the ball on the floor than Tyler. Better frame and still more athletic. He may be a little slower though.

His 3-pt ability and mid-range game are good but he just chooses not to shoot them? Yeah, that makes sense. Maybe he hits them all day long in practice but yet the coaches refuse to let him shoot them? Come on. As far as him and Tyler Smith, they are much more similar than you think. They have a very similar game. Tobias is certainly not more athletic than Tyler. Tyler was a much more explosive jumper. They are pretty similar is terms of not being very quick. Tyler when he graduated was better at creating off the dribble than Tobias is right now. I think Tobias has potential to be better off the dribble eventually though.

This sounds like something Torel Harris would say but who knows if it happened.

Torel is very invested in Tobias' future and I could see him demanding a transfer if he doesn't like the direction of the program or how Tobias is being used. I've wondered whether they are happy with the minutes that Tobias plays. A lot of the other top Freshman in the country have more opportunities on the court while Pearl Jr eats a lot of Tobias' minutes.
:eek:lol: BS

You obviously have your opinions that you want to stay attached to no matter the facts. That is certainly your right. A couple 'something-kinda-like-a-scout' guys on the radio mean very little to me in terms of Tobias and the NBA. If you truly believe that NBA teams see Tobias as more than a 15pt 8rb player in the NBA who is just getting used wrong by his college coaches then you can hold on to that all day long.

That's not my opinion. I was referring to your tyler smith comparison which is inaccurate on so many levels. He's a way better prospect than smith could everhope to be.

I think he is a better prospect too. But right now his game is very similar to what Tyler Smith's game was when he graduated from UT. Very similar. Tobias does have the potential to be better than Tyler but how much better is still up in the air. He has lots of development to do before he gets there.
