Until this NCAA mess goes away, we'll have a new rumor every week by someone claiming to have "inside information" from someone in the Pearl family or the UT athletic department. It almost reminds me of Catspause. The only thing we're missing is a camera fixated on a lone door on the basketball offices.

Thanks for backing me up, I knew what i was getting into when i decided that it had to be posted. I even told my wife, and she said I should call ESPN,,, but I just wanted to see if any of you guys had heard anything similiar. I really dont enjoy spreading rumors, but due to the severity of this issue, and the fact that ive known the person telling me since birth, I felt like it deserved to be passed on.

I hope it's not true just like all of you, but give me a break, i was just trying to prep you guys in case it's true.

kiffen was also a highly publicized coach at UT. Kiffen helped destroy USC just like Pearl is trying to destroy UT.

Can you please provide evidence of Kiffin helping destroy USC? This has been mentioned several times and people that say that have yet to provide the first bit of evidence to support their claim.

The local (Knoxville) media have a habit of chasing bad coaches who are in over their heads and should be ran out of town, too.

Only they do so to scatter rose petals in their path, and to decry those who don't want to "be patient" and "give them time".

Of course, this may have something to do with the fact that none of them are UT fans, and are simply horrible journalists.
