Apparently, there is some nuanic difference between knowing the internal cooking temperature of a hot dog and posting an unsubstantiated and baseless rumor.

In Rex's defense, the two are often confused.

The ONLY thing I like about TideFans.com is that the mods there REQUIRE a credible link for stuff like this....

Forums like this are how these rumors grow legs and spread. They are very harmful to the program in that they can get to recruits and sway them one way even if they're not true.

So you're saying I can start a rumor on here as long as I put "RUMOR" in the title? Thanks, good to know.

No joke. The obsession with that school and it's coach is crazy considering how the majority of our fanbase claim to criticize both more than anything.

Sorry Guys. I truely am. I wouldnt have posted this had i not thought I was getting the truth. Dont know why my friend told me this. Maybe to mess with me. Guess it worked. I just want to get on here and say, I was wrong, obviously Pearl is not resigning and I should have verified before posting. My Bad, now, go forward with the countless bashing, I deserve it.

It would be nice if Freak could come up with a scarlet letter for all the folks "in the know" that post bs rumors. Maybe make them sport a crimson A on their profile so we could automatically disregard all "inside" information.

Yeah, I am thinking up a bunch of RUMORS as we speak....."Urban Meyer and Nick Saban resigning this afternoon!" Undisclosed sources reveal they will be working on a joint venture in adult films called Urban Cowboy productions...Undisclosed sources also are rumored that Tim Tebow has resigned and will become the companies top performer....Ok mods, Give everyone at least 5 minutes to laugh and gawk at that before deleting it :eek:lol:

People love this stuff, true or not. I want to THANK YOU for taking my mind off of football for a couple of hours. You did me and others a favor IMO.

In his defense, this rumor was going pretty hard late last week an really picked up steam Saturday morning. That pre-dates it being posted here.

The quickness with with it spread caught alot of people (including myself) off guard. People that normally are solid on their info didn't know what to say.
