I was going to go with Sisyphus. Always pushin' another lame rumor up a hill, knowing good and damn well the nonsense is going to roll back down every time. Lather, rinse, repeat for eternity.

I want what is best for the University of Tennessee.

Be it in the classroom, or on the playing field. In our local communities, to the distant reaches of the globe, from the depths of the sea, to the outer reaches of space.

I expect every representative who is charged with the protection and promotion of its interests, or entrusted with its care and safekeeping - be it the President, part-time student, alum, janitor, millionaire basketball coach, the well-known and the unknown, all alike - to serve with that level of honor and distinction which the greatness of the people of Tennessee both rightfully deserves, and demands.

If you believe Pearl to have conducted himself in such a manner as to uphold that standard, then we disagree.

I, for one, am personally offended that ANYONE would start a rumor on an internet message board, and then not only forced me to read it, but believe it as well.

I don't know if I'll ever get over the pain and suffering this earth shattering thread caused me. And I think whomever participated in it should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I couldn't read the post for wondering how many beers it would take for a grown man to believe that tattooing his back with a PowerPuff Girls motiffe was acceptable.

Man if Pearl left, it would have killed my line of UT summer sweater vests with Jew fro attatchment. So happy he's staying.
