He may not be as bad, but I feel confident in saying he's a fraud. I'd take Dooley over him, to be honest, and I'm not a huge Dooley fan at all.
He only needs them to be at 100% once or twice a season, so I don't give him too much credit for that. It's hard when it's basically impossible to have a let down game during the year, because none of those teams have real chances to beat Boise. I'd take Patterson over him in a heartbeat, any time. In a real conference, I think Petersen would falter. I could be wrong, and I'll admit he hasn't proven to be a bad coach, it's just that I think he's more likely to be Dennis Franchione or Dan Hawkins than Urban Meyer. Boise was already good when he took over, and he's really just living off of about 5 wins, none of them which are as impressive as they may seem at first.I feel confident in saying that I would take Chris Petersen any day of the week over Derick Dooley, and twice on Sundays.
Besides his record, he seems to be extremely organized, and always seems to get his players ready to go 100% every week.
I can't understand why Tony Dungy, Jon Gruden or Bill Cowher would want that job? Not a single good reason. And Bob Stoops would be crazy to leave the sweet deal he has at Oklahoma. Chris Peterson? Maybe. I can see that. These other guys? No way. Total made up crap.

Would be outstanding for us if Meyer is replaced by Chris.
Recruiting AA kids in FL against a Mormon should be a cinch.
It would not be easy for a Palestinian to coach in the Maccabiah games and I am positive that with Chris as their coach in Gainesville, last years class will be the highest ranked one at UF for at least the next 5 years.
You may well be right. I can't really say how he do recruiting and putting together a good staff. I feel like it's hard to gauge what he's doing in the WAC. Maintaining/slightly building on something Hawkins did can't be too difficult. It's just that I've heard Chris Petersen speak at coaching clinics, and I'm pretty confident in saying that he'll be a success wherever he decides to go. He's got the right mindset and the right way to be a winner at a BCS-level program.
