Totally agree. Ambles looks like the best pure receiver I've seen of this class. So smooth and great hands.
Would you not rather have Ambles and Rogers?
I think Ambles is a better route runner based off of today though and more shifty as well. Plus he has great hands (except for the one easy catch)
That may be more of a want.
I don't think Prater is over-hyped necessarily based off of one game. He's clearly a very big dude with big hands who has been great in practice all week. Physical stats go a long way in college football. Keep in mind the East QB's were awful.

DittoNo need to call him names, he's just upset because we didn't get our hats picked up today - and that's okay. Maybe he's new to recruiting and doesn't know the dramatic twists and mind changesr yet... all is not lost and there's no need to berate him.
One thing he said is true, and don't get me wrong - I live and breathe Tennessee football - but Knoxville isn't as desirable as a lot of us regard it as. And that isn't necessarily a horrible thing. It just means we have to work harder for our recruits.
I still think he is over hyped. He may still be the #1 WR, but he isn't a god at the position. He has had so much hype mainly due to the fact of people's perception of "he looks like J. Jones, or AJ Green".
All we heard the announcers say was "i'd like to see them throw it to Prater.." Why? because he is hyped to be this absolute freak.
He has physical tools, but so did Turner, Jarrett...

No doubt. The Announcers were all up his butt during the telecast. I still think it has a lot to do with the QB play. Ambles was lucky to get anything with those guys. Plus the O Line got dominated by the West. Hard to judge him on that one game though is all I'm saying.
His hands weren't so great on the play near the sidelines where the ball went right through his hands lol. That being said he does seem fluid and talented. Made that great catch over the middle where he had to adjust to the ball, and also possibly would have scored on another had he been able to keep his feet. I don't think there's any question he will be a play maker for us, glad to have him.Totally agree. Ambles looks like the best pure receiver I've seen of this class. So smooth and great hands.
So, which offensive player did you see today that you hope has the Vols as his school? I didn't get to watch the game.
