Just do something and end all this.

I'd love to see Utah and TCU take Nebraska and Colorado's place in the Big XII

It sounds like Chip's original scoop is falling apart and now he's taking stabs in the dark. I'd be surprised to see TX remain in the Big 12. I think it's more like 60/30/9/1 on Big 10/Pac/10/Big12/SEC for TX.

he seems to be backing off his original tweet:

My sources say texas is committed to coming to the table with the 10 remaining b12 schools to see if there's consensus for the beebe plan.

coming to the table is not the same thing as a done deal.

ESPN says Texas along with TTU, OU, & OSU are about to make announcement they are going to Pac 10.

That makes 15 teams - who else goes?

It's not dead until Tejas leaves.

Texas is just doing this to show that they "tried" to save the Big 12 but it is A&Ms fault for leaving to join the SEC. The Big 12 will not be in existence much longer.

This. I think they are trying to get TAMU to go first so that it looks like they broke up the BIG 12, not Texas.

I agree 100%. But if Texas stays, there is the off chance the conference could survive. It wouldn't be the same so there wouldn't really be any point to it IMO

I pick "setting up the little brother" for the win.

I really wish the World Cup, poker, and softball were played on ESPN 2. I seriously would rather watch the same Sportscenter 5 times in a row than any of those. And get Jim Rome outta there as well

they aren't "trying" to do anything.. They are concerned about what is best for them, and they do not care about who looks bad. Everyone already knew that they were going to go to the Pac-10, and reports are coming in that say otherwise because they have gotten a new deal.

I am not saying that they will for sure stay in the Big-12, but they definitely aren't waiting for someone else to be the bad guy. They will announce whatever is best for them, whenever it is best for them.
