Russia bounty on US troops

I was going to give you a "like" until the very end.
You have to admit the huge overreaction by some liberals that they would leave the country if Trump were elected was a massive temper tantrum unlike any political BS heretofore seen. If conservatives had said the same about Hillary, or even now Biden, it would be equally deserving of ridicule. I'm just disappointed those people didn't keep their word. I don't care which side it is, that kind of inane childish response shouldn't be accepted behavior.

Has a leftist ever kept their word?

I guess a dictatorial regime is better than Canada? 🙄

Do you honestly think Biden would do anything with teeth to it? Would Obama have? Not even disagreeing with you that if Trump does something, it will amount to nothing, but I think the same would be true of Biden.

It's comical when some call out Trump and how "Trumpers" buy his schtick when they do the exact same when it came to Obama and Hillary, and now Biden. No one ever wants to admit "their guy" sucks ass. It's always made up, or overblown, or propaganda, blah, blah, blah. The truth is, it doesn't seem to matter which ass hat sits in the Oval Office when it comes to reaction. It only matters if he's "your guy".

You and your used generally, not specifically.

They all suck, agreed. Though one side keeps acting like the phony bravado twitter tough guy routine actually makes him tough while pointing out his predecessor was a coward for following custom to a foreign leader by bowing.

I know you like to get your digs in on Trump but for anyone to become POTUS they have to have some ability to see the big picture.
Not really. Sometimes it's about being lucky, or striking a chord. I doubt Trump sees the big picture or even cares to. The rotating White House staff argues against it. There is no stability. If he could see the big picture, I don't think that would be a problem.

I agree that the right defends Trump's incessant, inane twittering, and his false bravado, but the left did the exact same with Obama, and especially Hillary. I don't hide my disdain for Hillary in particular, but there are still leftists who defend her outrageous behavior, even though she's no longer in the spotlight. Neither side is able to admit simple truths about their candidates/representatives/however you want to refer to them. It's insane to me that people willingly allow politics to blind them in such a fashion.

I think if this news came out during the Obama administration and Obama was actively advocating for Russia to join the G7, this board would be a frothing sea of rage.

You do know Russia was a member of the 'G8', but was suspended in 2014, don't you?

I dont think Trump sees any big picture. He just fumbles one crisis to the next.
I think he had a vision in 2016, but moderate republican house members screwed him in a failed effort to keep their own seats and now many of them are reduced to making a living by taking appearance fees and book advances to say bad things about the people whose support they gladly courted and accepted when it benefited them. Despite being the big tent party, which one would expect to include many contradictory and competing voices, the democrats have always been able to rally unity votes on big issues even when they knew it would cost them dearly (Obamacare, for example). Republicans have never fully reconciled the Rockefeller wing and the social conservatives. The chamber of commerce types have used fundamentalist Christians the same way democrats use blacks, both knowing that if they ever actually gave them what they want most that they would lose their hold.

So never apparently.

Lol You guys let the troll get to you . Septic isn’t in the way , he sucks the tit from both sides . One dirty tit to him is just as good as the other, his enjoyment comes from the trolling and trying to shock people with things like fake Nazi signs and calling babies parasites . 😂

Wrong. It is, and always has been, Trump first.
Again, I agree. The thing about Trump is he is an anomaly. Most Presidents are about party first. Obama put the Democrat agenda above all. Bush put the Republican agenda above all. But Trump is not beholden to the GOP, so he puts himself first. But don't mistake that for any recent President putting the emphasis on where it should be, the country itself. No recent President has been about working together with the opposition and finding working compromises for the benefit of the country. It's been about party agenda and maintaining power.

End of the day, Trump is in over his head. I don't believe he sees the big picture at all. I don't think any politician sees the actual big picture. They all see what they want to see, but Trump's field of vision is incredibly narrow.

Why would I be irate?

I take that back. I dont know you and I havent seen many of your posts. I will assume you are not one of the people on this board who would defend anything Trump does while being more than ready to condemn a commie libtard for the same thing.

If it walks like a commie, talks like a commie, it’s a commie.

The hypocrisy that comes with politics is just so overwhelmingly astounding. I'm starting to believe political fealty means abandoning logic, reason, and simple common sense. Both sides suck ass. If people would open their eyes to this instead of blindly defending "their guy", we could actually have a real conversation.

I think those days are long gone and probably never coming back. The hyper-partisanship is completely out of control.

It may look like that from the outside but there’s so much that we don’t know. No POTUS is close to perfect but they have an extremely difficult job and I’m sure they see a much bigger picture than any of us do.

Fine, but with THIS President it has sure seemed a lot more disorganized than most. I don't see how anyone could think otherwise, even his supporters.

You're probably right, which is why I find this all so infuriating and depressing. Compromise is the only thing that will actually help this nation, but no one wants to compromise. They all just want their way.

He's going to have to do something. Jarred probably on the hot phone now to his bosses in Moscow to find out what cursory sanction they will be okay with.
