And once again Russian people will die from a nuclear explosion and fall out will travel in dust plumes to other countries. Russia will once again, lie like a rug about the whole thing. Lightening strike uhhuh

Actually lightening means less weight. Lightning is the strike. I make the error as well.

They had to evacuate over 100k citizens. No lightning strike and no normal ordinance.

Russians claimed lightning strike on the ammo depot in Siberia is probably what she was referring, not this one AFAIK. Sure seems like a lot going on in this world right now.

Putin has said very strongly that there is no problem. I don't care what the science or national intelligence says.

U.S.-based experts suspect Russia blast involved nuclear-powered missile - Reuters

Putin boasted about the nuclear-powered cruise missile in a March 2018 speech to the Russian parliament in which he hailed the development of a raft of fearsome new strategic weapons.

The missile, he said, was successfully tested in late 2017, had “unlimited range” and was “invincible against all existing and prospective missile defense and counter-air defense systems.”
How would such a missile be immune to missile defense?

It's Putin. He makes those claims. The judo champion, warrior on horseback, finder of 6th century artifacts during a casual swim in the Black Sea.

An intercontinental terrain hugging cruise missile flying from across the world would be tough to spot on radar.

I know, but what's the actual benefit to a nuclear rocket, given current ones can reach targets where ever?

It’s up for debate as to if it would be. The theory is that it doesn’t follow a fixed path so it’s hard to pin down and the second is that it is moving way too fast to stop once it does zero in on its location and reenter. That’s at least my very very very rudimentary understanding.

I do not think this is the hypersonic missile discussed in past. Cruise missiles typically are about Mach .85. Aerodynamic forces are too strong in dense low altitude air in which cruise missiles operate to achieve hypersonic speeds.

It is unlimited range and evasion navigation that make it deadly.
