Saban staying at Bama

It's going to take more than faith for UT to beat Saban

Saban, since his first year, has lost only to other coaches that are considered elite. To just proclaim Jones will beat him based on obtaining better talent is ludicrous. It takes more than talent. It takes great preparation, great coaching, and a great game plan. You don't just luck into wins against Alabama.

I don't want to luck into one win against Alabama. I want to dominant them every year. Will Jones be able to dominant Saban and Alabama every year? Hell no!!

There were 4 elite coaches in the SEC that haven't yet and with superior talent. Jones couldn't ride in their back pockets, yet some of you think he's going to come in and dominate because he makes you all feel good with coach speak. Right now, that's all we have is a bunch of talk

Jones will have to upgrade his Best Staff in America to the Better Staff in America than was Previously Thought to accomplish the improbable

I expect to be called out for my VFL status, but the truth is not easy for some to face. As long as the UT AD keeps hiring unproven coaches hoping they work out, its not getting any better. You get what you pay for

Chizzik isnt elite, Sumlin isnt elite, Malzahn isnt elite. Miles and Urban yea probably. The guy at Utah isnt elite either.

"Saban, since his first year, has lost only to other coaches that are considered elite. "

How many NCs and how much SEC experience did sumlin have when he beat Saban?

Not sure why you quoted me but I was being sarcastic.

Bama and SC got lucky that Saban and Spurrier wanted out of the NFL. tOSU was lucky Meyer wasn't coaching for a year. Otherwise this "home run" coaching hires are pretty much nonexistent.

As for SEC experience, you would have to go with a coordinator and no one would have been happy about that.

CBJ has proved plenty as HC. Two outright amd two shared championships is a good resume. He recruited at the top of his conference every year. He deserved a shot at a big time program. If wasn't going to be here then it would have been somewhere else and we would be crying that we missed getting him in a few years.

My bad. It was an obtuse way of agreeing with you and pointing out the flaw in the common argument.

Weren't they 11-2 ? Are you rounding up?

I'm not rounding up. Google is your friend. They were 12-2. He didn't coach their bowl game because he accepted the coaching position at Cincy.

I guess that win doesn't count for him though, right?

Since he didn't coach that game...no. Why would it?
