You don't get to be in Saban's position by overlooking opponents, however much overmatch their personnel. He is probably preparing for Tennessee with the same zeal that he would Oregon or FSU. It's hard to sneak up on a Saban coached team.
From his Monday presser:
--Saban sees real improvement from Tennessee in recent weeks.
--Tennessee's tackles are very good players. They're very effective on the offensive line and they run for more than 200 yards with few sacks. That's all signs of a good offensive line.
-- Saban notes the lack of penalties for Tennessee. The Vols lead the SEC in that category.
-- Wins like Tennessee's over South Carolina are huge with new coaches and new programs, Saban said.
As I recall, Saban said Dooley was "doing a fine job" and left it at that. Whereas here, Saban seems to be citing specific signs of improvement by Jones and staff. Maybe something, may be nothing. Just my humble observation.
I hate them so much, I will never eat Bama jelly
Saban isn't concerned with Tennessee. Saban believes if his team executes properly he can beat any team in the country.
Every interview by Saban: "If we execute this or that"
