whats the latest info on this montgomery kid ? is he even considering us ? visit ? (im on a crud cell phone & it would take 2 weeks to read all the recent posts)
I don't think that is true. I remember them talking about him coming to Tennessee to play for Bruce several times in that game.Just because they don't put us on the doesn't mean they're not considering us. During the McDonald's All-American game they didn't have us on the list of Scotty Hopson's schools.
On the edge, Craig Roh and Sam Montgomery both showed good ability to use speed to get around the edge.
"Coach Steele just got signed today at 2 p.m., and less than two hours later he was already talking to me in person. How great of an honor is that? That was high class," Montgomery told Tigerillustrated.com Thursday evening. "Of all the people he could have seen first, he chose to see me right away. That says a lot. I'm glad for that. I was real happy. It shows that I'm one of their top priorities."
On Wednesday, Lane made a trip to Greenwood to introduce new LSU assistant Brick Haley from the Chicago Bears to Montgomery. He apparently made a convincing case, as the Tigers are still on the top of the four-star lineman's list.
"I like him a lot," Montgomery said of Haley. "LSU is still in the lead. I'd probably say they're a big step or two ahead of the other schools right now."
