At least paper is relatively biodegradable compared to plastics. But the idea, as I understand it, is that take-out coffee will no longer be allowed to be sold in single-use cups but will have to be dispensed into one's own re-usable (ceramic, glass or steel) coffee cups or you'll have to buy one to get served (and keep it).

Used to be, California set the trend and the rest of the country would follow, but anymore there is so much cray-cray in Cali it's hard to see how someone can live there and keep his sanity.

They are all gonna infect neighboring states with their 'how great California is' crapola until they ruin those places too. Kind of like all the yankees that come down to Florida complaining about how bad NY sucks and lobbying for things just like NY had. I hear they are infecting Tennessee too.

Austin is getting a lot of transplants from California. Most liberal city in Texas by far. Homeless are allowed to camp just about anywhere there, based on a recently passed ordinance.
