Sankey having media call at 6pm for "a significant announcement"

It's one of three things:

#1) The SEC Championship game won't have fans in attendance.

#2) The remainder of the SEC football season is cancelled outside of the SEC championship game.

#3) Basketball season is postponed until further notice.

I doubt it's #1. We're not lucky enough for it to be #2. And it's 2020 and basketball is the only thing to bring us joy so it's more than likely #3.
I think it's number 3, Duke is raising so much hell about shutting it down so I think that's coming

I have to be a bit careful since I have media ties but it is supposedly about basketball AND football.

They are going to cancel all remaining football games since Bama and Florida are playing for the SEC Title anyway. And basketball is going on hiatus until mid-January. When it returns it will be conference only play and possibly some weekends in a bubble.

I could be wrong but I'm definitely not just talking out of my rear end......
Bleh that’s the worst news. And Pruitt will save his job by virtue of not being able to lose any more games.

Vols have been traded to the Sun Belt conference for Coastal Carolina.

SEC will cover UT expenses for 3 years and a PTBNL will be included from pool of Drinkwitz, Leach, and Pittman.

So that explains the fireworks coming from the Georgia State campus....well, either that or gunshots....

More incriminating tape on LSU’s Will Wade has come out. Tigers 🐯 program shut down. Missouri officials say they probably deserve it...because, they’re Mizzou.

I do like his statement, "We got our butts beat." I should print T-shirts and sell them in Chapel Hill.
Trust me, Ole Huckleberry 8 miles down the road in Chapel Hill has a lot more quotable t-shirt material than K.

It is Atlanta. really difficult to say.

If there are sirens, it is probably gunfire.

If there isn't, probably fireworks. Unless Rufus lost his other thumb then there might be a siren.

rumor heard on Basilio show: SEC is cancelling all non-conference basketball games and shuttering basketball until the new year and teams will only play an SEC schedule similar to what was done for football.

SEC schools are getting an extra 20 million a year but it doesn't start until 2023 IIRC.

I mean, if this number is true and it's an extra $20 million a year for each school, the financial argument for keeping Jeremy Pruitt becomes even more stupid because these buyouts are paid out over many years and you could use one year of this TV contract to buyout Pruitt and his entire staff.
