Saquon Barkley is the best RB I've ever seen

Oh great you named one guy's opinion.

Now can you tell us what Jalen's mom said to you that got you so mad?

You don’t recall? She took to Twitter right around draft day and essentially said that Kamara wouldn’t do well in the nfl and everybody would see why soon. In other words, about as classless as it gets.....clearly the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

And as far as “one guy’s opinion”, he was an outstanding D1 running back and in one school’s hall of fame because of it. Tennessee, among other P5 teams wanted him, but he didn’t want to play DB, and when Boots Donnelly established a great relationship with him, told him he could absolutely play running back, he went to Murfreesboro. Believe I’ll take his expert opinion over yours and anybody else’s trying to sell Hurd as anything more than an average, lumbering, slow-footed big back who put up average numbers ONLY because he got an inordinate amount of touches. No doubt in my mind that Jones tried to placate Hurd with all those touches hoping that he’d calm down and accept the fact that he lied to Jalen, that he was never gonna change his sorry little offense and put Hurd in the I-formation.

Also, he’s hardly the only guy with that opinion of Hurd. Even lifelong Vol fans like me, who were thrilled when Jalen signed, who know what they’re watching when they see players play, very quickly came to the same conclusion that my buddy, an outstanding, 2-time conference offensive player of the year running back did.

Should be the #1 overall pick by a significant margin.

Here's my early top 10:

1. RB Saquon Barkley (Penn State)
2. WR Antonio Callaway (Florida)
3. S Derwin James (Florida State)
4. QB Sam Darnold (USC)
5. DE Arden Key (LSU)
6. DE Bradley Chubb (NC State)
7. QB Josh Rosen (UCLA)
8. QB Lamar Jackson (Louisville)
9. RB Rashaad Penny (San Diego State)
10. RB Ronald Jones II (USC)

Antonio Callaway??? Lol! That kid won’t sniff the first 3-4 rounds. And Barkley ain’t going number 1, ever. He’s a good player, a very talented player, a nice player, will make someone a good, solid running back for 5-6 years maybe.

Eye test.

Nah, he's the greatest of all time. D4H says so.

Lamar Jackson in your top 10? What makes you think he's a franchise level QB?

Not only is he not a franchise qb, because he’s such a phenomenal athlete, half the nfl teams will want him as a WR, not a QB. Jury out big time at this point as to what exactly Lamar will be at the next level imo.

If Georgia wins I’ll give you props but I don’t see it happening with a freshman quarterback over Clemson, Bama, & Oklahoma

All 3 of those teams have been there and there’s levels to **** usually takes a little experience to get over the hill. Playoff experience is a very real thing in pro sports you have to build torwards a title usually

Yea freshmen quarterback and head coach in second year I’d be shocked even tho Georgia definitely has the talent to get it done I think they will lack the coaching and exp

Making it passed OU won’t surprise me but Saban or Venables will shutdown that UGA run game IMO and Fromm ain’t beating either of those guys stout defenses by himself

Having an experienced, All-American caliber quarterback was an advantage that Clemson rode to victory over Jalen Hurts and Alabama in last year’s national championship game. Depending on his health, Oklahoma will benefit from an even more decisive advantage at that position, i.e. an experienced, senior Heisman-trophy winner in Baker Mayfield vs. a true freshman in Jake Fromm. So long as Oklahoma can keep the Bulldogs from absolutely dominating the line of scrimmage with their running game, I expect that advantage to contribute to an Oklahoma victory.

OU has pretty damn good OL led by Orlando Brown I don’t think they get dominated

He is RG3.. Will get snapped in half in the NFL

RG3 had an ACL in college and was a straight line runner without much in the way of wiggle and make you miss ability. Lamar Jackson has never had a serious injury and has crazy ability and make you miss ability.

Deshaun Watson is the next RG3. He's the guy with 2 ACL tears already in his career and won't have much longevity. Lamar will have longevity like Michael Vick.

Oh you had a problem with Hurd way before those comments.

I will say I don't like Jalen Hurd or his family NOW after seeing how they've acted. But I can separate my personal opinion from what I think about the kid as a football player.

Watson will prove he can throw the ball from pocket next year. He was on track for 40+ pass TDs this year

Had four games with 3 or more pass TDS in less than half a season

Rg3 is a lazy ass short sighted comparison

As you like to say about Kamara he was making history throwing the ball

I don't care where Antonio Callaway ultimately gets drafted. I'm telling you he's the second best player in this draft and DESERVES to go 2nd overall. He's the next Sterling Sharpe. A franchise caliber #1 WR with Hall of Fame potential.

And Saquon Barkley is more than "solid". He's as good as it gets at the RB position. He and Alvin with define the RB position in the NFL for the next 10 years. Both are all-time SPECIAL.

Probably the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Lamar Jackson was good enough as a QB to carry a garbage team like Louisville to national prominence on his back. He's a QB. PERIOD.

Lamar Jackson = Michael Vick 2.0

Lamar will have a career similar to Vick. He'll dismantle the NFL early on with his athleticism. Like Vick he will stay relatively healthy even with tons of running. He's also a better passer than most give him credit for.

I'm extremely confident in Lamar Jackson being a viable starting QB in the NFL.

Did y'all even watch Houston play this year? Or did you just look at the stats after the game?

The entire Texans offense with Watson was changed to take advantage of his athleticism. His running ability was the main component of their offensive success. Now it wasn't so much of him running for a lot of yards as much as it was the threat of the run. The Texans had a read option play fake tied to nearly every pass play. This made the defense hesitate some and let receivers run open. Washington did something similar in RG3's rookie year.

Without the threat of the run, Deshaun Watson's passing won't be as effective next year. Expect to see a sophomore slump next season very much like RG3 in year 2.

Nope Watson actually has the ability to change his game and throw from the pocket

His first acl tear his freshman year is history at this point and he got hurt in practice so nobody knows how bad it is all this talk like his athleticism goes out the window is really premature

Nobody on the Texans is saying he’s done like you make it sound

It’s when u have 2 devastating knee injuries close together or on the same knee close together when you’re truly ****ed

Hell the one his freshman year I remember he actually played on it and beat South Carolina for the first time in 5
years then came back completely fine the next year

But hey I’m sure you’ll keep going with your narrative that he’s rg3 and he’ll be trash next year

Nothing can change you’re opinion

Actually agree with this. RG3 was an amazing sprinter/hurdler and definitely saw him abuse teams with his speed. He was decently elusive at time, but the injuries absolutely killed his career.

Hated that so much.

I had a problem with how good a football player he was, that was all. He was immensely overrated. His mother’s classless comments about Alvin had nothing to do with that. Him wanting to quit and then actually quitting mid season on his team was a different story altogether.
