Saquon Barkley is the best RB I've ever seen

No Josh Allen if he declares?

Long time since you asked this question but I have finally studied Josh Allen.

He's right now my #2 QB after Sam Darnold. He's a Pro Bowl caliber QB. Reminds me of Drew Bledsoe.

Top 10 QBs in 2018 NFL Draft
1. Sam Darnold (USC)
2. Josh Allen (Wyoming)
3. Josh Rosen (UCLA)
4. Lamar Jackson (Louisville)
5. Baker Mayfield (Oklahoma)
6. Riley Ferguson (Memphis)
7. Mike White (Western Kentucky)
8. Mason Rudolph (Oklahoma St.)
9. Kurt Benkert (Virginia)
10. Luke Falk (Washington St.)

The first 4 guys are surefire franchise QBs. Mayfield is a wild-card for me. I can't figure him out. Riley Ferguson is the sleeper of this class. He could be a starter down the road. The last 4 are backup QB material.

My opinion of Barkley is this. First, he is a tremendous athlete. Second, he as all the upside in the world, his pad leverage is consistently impressive, he is very explosive, good pass catcher, decent to good blitz pick up, great vision, very good balance, good between the tackles, can covert speed to power pretty well. The only thing about him that would give me pause, is the fact that he shifts too much (he is probably use to out "athlete ing" everyone). The system that Penn State runs gives him more flexibility then an NFL system would I believe just based on structure (Penn runs, as does almost everyone, NFL typical schemes) but there is a difference in QB under center and you being 7 yards back waiting for a ball and you being either hip to hip or 1 to 2 yards from hip of QB. He needs to (and believe he wiill) learn to hit the hole and can dance whenever he has more space and less to lose. Alex Gibbs (famous O-Line coach he created what is the OZ today) wouldn't even touch a guy if he had more than 5-10 negative plays because he believed if you would read your keys right then you are at the VERY least getting back to the LOS or gaining +1. All in all I firmly believe he has hall of fame talent.... But so did a lot of others that ended up getting cut in the NFL.

As long as Saquon Barkley stays healthy he'll be a Hall of Famer. Here are my RB rankings for the 2018 NFL Draft:

Top 10 RBs in 2018 NFL Draft
1. Saquon Barkley (Penn St.) - NFL comp: Fred Taylor
2. Rashaad Penny (San Diego St.) - NFL comp: Curtis Martin
3. John Kelly (Tennessee) - NFL comp: Priest Holmes
4. Ronald Jones II (USC) - NFL comp: Jamaal Charles
5. Mark Walton (Miami)
6. Bo Scarbrough (Alabama)
7. Sony Michel (Georgia)
8. Derrius Guice (LSU)
9. Nick Chubb (Georgia)
10. Kerryon Johnson (Auburn)

This has a chance to go down as the best RB draft ever. The top end talent is elite and there is incredible depth throughout. All of my top 10 RBs can be starters in the NFL. And the top 5 have Pro-Bowl talent.

Top 10 WRs in the 2018 NFL Draft
1. Antonio Callaway (Florida) - NFL comp: Sterling Sharpe
2. Anthony Miller (Memphis) - NFL comp: mini Antonio Brown
3. DJ Moore (Maryland) - NFL comp: Percy Harvin
4. Equanimeous St. Brown (Notre Dame)
5. Michael Gallup (Colorado St.)
6. Deon Cain (Clemson)
7. James Washington (Oklahoma St.) - NFL comp: Chris Chambers
8. Calvin Ridley (Alabama)
9. Christian Kirk (Texas A&M)
10. DJ Chark (LSU) - NFL comp: Kevin Dyson

This is an underrated WR class. I love my top 6 prospects. I believe they are all 1st round talents. The weakness of this class is depth.

Can you explain Scarbrough over the guys you have at 7 thru 10?

He's a better pure runner than them. Great size and speed combo. But also has the hip dexterity to make moves at the second level that Derrick Henry couldn't.

I would be hyping him up a lot more if his durability didn't scare the daylights out of me.

The performance last year against Washington and Clemson in the playoffs is what sold me on Bo Scarbrough. As a pure RB talent, he's phenomenal. Poor Man's Eddie George IMO.

Do the facial features of any of your top 10 RBs or WRs make you nervous?

My rankings already take that into account.

The player whose face concerns me the most is LB Tremaine Edmunds (Virginia Tech).

When I watch the tape I see a surefire early 1st round talent. He's big. He's fast. He's athletic. Just a dynamic overall player. However, then I looked up his picture and was horrified. He's unfortunately a very ugly brotha. Typically ugly players don't become elite players. Almost every elite athlete is good looking to a degree.

So yeah, Tremaine Edmunds is the guy in the 2018 Draft who facial features concern me the most.

If you were worried about DeShaun Watson's durability, then Scarbrough should send you running. He's torn up both knees, and then tore up one of them a second time. And he lost an entire step after the injury in last year's title game. By the end of 2017, Bo was the 4th best back on Bama's roster. I hate it for the guy, but he may well be done.

Sony Michel is absolutely gonna be elite in the NFL. Barkley is the only reasonable comp in this year's class. He will be another Frank Gore. Maybe better because I think he's faster.

If Fred Taylor stayed healthy he would have been a first ballot Hall of Famer. Jim Brown is quoted as saying Fred Taylor is the one of the most talented RBs he had ever seen.

Fred Taylor had it all. He was a big back (230 lbs) who was physical and could break tackles. But he also had home run speed to run away from anyone and he had the elusiveness to make guys miss like he was a scat back. The only thing that kept Fred Taylor from being considered a legendary RB was durability.

Here is a video with his highlights and quotes from his peers on how great of a player he was:

Yea anybody that watched Fred Taylor in his prime knows he was amazing

Just an absolute freak how big and fast he was plus he could shake u out your shoes

It seemed like he routinely broke big 50+ yd TDs every week

So, big nose indicates a character flaw? I could see that perhaps. It does look like a symmetrically large nose, though. Like, it is balanced big on both nostrils.

D4H, I know you’re very high on Callaway. I’m just not sure he’s attractive enough to become a superstar.

What would you grade him on a scale of 1-10?
