So I see a wall of text but I’m guessing you’re saying I’m wrong about the middle shifting left? I can’t think of a single person that applies to. And myself I know shifted right as I got older. Seems the older you get the more pissed off you get about people taking your stuff to give to other people.

He didn't say it shifted with age. He said time. Think about 70 years ago... gays couldn't get married, interracial couples couldn't marry in many states, separate but equal was the law of the land, etc etc etc.

Really no doubt that the middle shifts left over time.

As for age. I am more liberal with regard to some things now than I was when I was younger. Supreme Court Justices seem to get more liberal with age as well.

it's not a secret that most people shift to the right financially when they start making decent money. Most of my peers have and they were liberal in college. I'm 30 so these are the next politicians. Socially, I'd say most lean very slightly to the left but only a few are extreme to the right or left while more seemed to have been further left in college.

As far as history and time and all that jazz, I suppose socially it shifts left but that's kind of an unfair assessment as it implies the right is socially incorrect. Without doing extensive research from the toilet, I think its safe to assume that both sides have been champions of inappropriate stances by today's standards.

He used his own change over time as an example. That implies age sorry. But you gave him an out and he will emphatically claim that’s exactly what he meant now. I see no other way to interpret his own statement though. The Pew curve looks pretty straight forward too. That is a right shift.

I’d also submit we’re living right now in a time where we’re seeing a right shift.

The case showed that he didn't refuse to serve them. He'd served them many times in the past, apparently. He merely refused to serve them a particular product--i.e. a wedding cake for celebrating a gay wedding, and he would refuse to serve a hetero couple a cake shaped like a dildo. He came out and said that if they wanted almost any other product that he was willing to make, he'd make it for them.

This case wasn't about discrimination about serving people. It was about his closely help moral beliefs directing what product he was willing to make and sell.

This restaurant truly refused to serve someone. They have their right to do so and I absolutely support that right, but the left right now is AMAZINGLY hypocritical about the subject after their stance on the bakers.
