Sarkisian comment pertinent to UT football

In all honesty that is about where this team is talent wise. Three wins against the easy non-conference schedule.

You are correct it you meant coaching talent wise - because players were more than talented enough to play much better and at least beat much less talented Vandy if game planning and coaching was up to SEC standards.

Tennessee has very little talent. You Vol fans need to open your eyes and see that UT talent is not SEC talent. I guess I am the only one that really see it, but they are just to slow and not capable of making big plays game after game.

You do realize Tyler Bray, Justin Hunter, Cordarelle Patterson, Mychal Rivera etc etc weren't on the roster this year right?

Additionally, the defense last year was horrible. Worst I've ever seen. At least the secondary finished 6th in the SEC this year unlike dead last the previous year. They should improve even more with an influx of talent.

Fixed it for you - but you were close :)
I will say that the exception is our coaching recruiting talent which is SEC worthy (give credit where it's due). Unfortunately coaching consists of recruiting, player development, game planning, and in game coaching (so far we are 1-4 across all those areas).

Your basing this off one year? It's to early to tell anything right now. I would even throw recruiting in with that. But if we look at CBJs record in all those areas it's very good, yes I know it was in the big east yada yada against inferior talent yada yada. But his players talent level was on par or less then the conference Jones was in so he has done a good job coaching up players in the past. Give this coaching staff a couple years before you are so critical of him.

Nope. That excuse got played out with Dooley. Everyone wanted to give him time, and so he got a contract extension after his first year with a huge buyout we're still paying.

When are you going to learn from the past? Butch Jones makes over 3 million a year (over half a million more a year than the coach that just won an SEC championship in his first year), there is no reason to give him a "no criticism" pass for several years. No other major program's fanbase would do something so stupid.

Right now 1 year in SEC is all we have to judge. I give this or any other staff NO CREDIT for whatever they did in big east (nothing personal against them I just think that conference is a joke). But if they improve over next couple of years in those other areas I will be happy to admit I was wrong.

Dooley had no right to be hired in the first place, almost everyone would admit that. IMHO it's to early to be overly critical of CBJ. I know to you this will sound like excuses but the facts remain these are players he didn't recruit that are used to underachieving playing the toughest schedule in college football with injuries at key positions. That also lost all their major contributors on offense. Any one who thought we would be better then a 6-6 team this year was/is delusional and that was before any injuries and without knowing how good mizzou and auburn would be.
